Verona Tours is an absolute must for any traveler to Verona! Valeria curated an truly memorable trip for my family in March 2025. My husband and I heard a podcast (Kimberly's Italy) featuring Valeria prior to our visit to Verona. When we heard Valeria's approach to a truly personalized tour, we knew we had to book her, and she did not disappoint! I only wish we had more time to stay in Verona and tour the neighboring Lake Garda with Valeria as our guide.
I emailed with Valeria prior to our visit and told her that we wanted a tour of Verona as well as a visit to Madonna della Corona. She planned the perfect itinerary for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teens.) Her tour of Verona gave us everything we imagined, including a taxi ride to the top of the hill to view Verona from above. What a treat! She explained things clearly and provided easy ways to remember the historical facts of Verona. I felt at home in the city with her careful guidance.
On the second day, she planned the most spectacular and spiritual experience for us to Madonna della Corona. It was truly breathtaking to see such a beautiful site! She then whisked us off to an absolute gem of a winery on the shore of Lake Garda where she walked us through a wine tasting and tour.
We will not forget our time with Valeria. I wish she could give us tours at every location we travel. She is an absolute treasure! You will not regret using Verona Tours for any experience. We will be back as Valeria's love for Verona truly inspired us to...
Read moreLorella is interested in her clients, not just what she knows. And she knows a lot! After the tour I wrote home that Lorella lifted off the top of my head and poured in a new way for me to understand history.
We will remember her and what she taught us. Memories are the greatest souvenirs of travel. But I struggled with how to convey how Lorella is different than many other fine guides. Then I realized I could use her words.
From an email previous to our trip -
“There are intangible aspects of a place that are not immediately visible, and a cultural mediator - which a good guide should be - helps to uncover them. Guides don’t just recite facts (which anyone can find); they create those essential, invisible connections.”
Lorella is exceptional in her ability to create essential, invisible connections.
After asking her help to find an Italian purse for our daughter, Lorella took us to a custom leather workshop, and helped us secure an affordable purse. Now our daughter carries a VISIBLE reminder of our connection.
A stranger stopped our daughter and asked where she found her purse. Our daughter carries proof of an exceptional woman and tour guide and Italy’s skills with leather.

Read moreThis June, 2022, we had the opportunity to once again spend time with Valeria of Veronatours, The Tour Boutique. Her expertise and grace are unequaled in my experiences. On our first day Valeria took us through her city on the “Comprehensive Verona City Tour,” pointing out, then explaining, the four layers of civilization and architecture through its history, its wondrous landscapes, and the nature of its peoples. The next morning she led us on a day-long trip through the countryside, including a motorboat ride on Lake Garda, a stop for lunch at a hilltop restaurant (5 stars, imho), and winding up at a unique Valpolicella winery featuring some of the finest Amarone I’ve ever tasted. Both tours were private for our small group. That final stop was special because we met Valeria seven years ago when we booked the “Signature Amarone Wine Tour.” We enjoyed the experience, her commentary, and her company so much that we kept in touch through the years, especially during the pandemic, when the treasure that friendships represent became so...
