What an amazing experience from check-in on! First thing to note, they have a van that will pick you up at the train/bus station if you let them know in advance your arrival time. However, it is only about a 15-minute walk, albeit uphill for part of the way. Upon arrival, you are greeted with the utmost kindness. Check-in is electronic and done on a screen; however, the staff will guide you through the process, including photos of your passports. Once completed, you will be provided a room number and entry code for the electronic lock. Take a pic with your phone so you have it. Tell the staff the room number. A staff member will then give you a brief on the property and functionalities, as well as a delicious welcome gift [delicious choxolate bar with almonds]. Teo speaks perfect English and was extremely helpful, even giving restaurant recommendations! All the staff are extremely kind! There is free coffee, tea, and popcorn in the lobby. And several orchid plants make the space super inviting. Additionally, there are several scents of bath salts provided for free to put in the tub so you can enjoy a realxing soak with a view of Mt. Fuji. The villas are all uphill, and the staff will gladly take you and your luggage up to your villa in a vehicle. The villas are gorgeous and have all the amenities for a wonderful stay! The views of Mount Fuji are simply amazing with each floor offering a dofferent perspective. There are so many complimentary items in the villa. There are slippers, robes (not free to take with you but free to use!), bathroom supplies, outdoor slippers for yhe roof, waters, bottled fuji soda, local beer, and a bottle of wine. There are coffee supplies, including fresh beans and a grinder. There are private bathtubs and toilets for each floor. Our villa was a rooftop villa with 4 large twin beds - 2 on each floor. The beds are firm but very comfortable and some of the most comfortable we've slept on in Japan, as of yet. The roof is such a relaxing, inviting place with an umbrella for if it is sunny and a picnic style table to sit and enjoy the view. You can use the BBQ for an extra fee if you'd like to cook out on the roof. Bug spray and lawn style camping chairs are also provided. It's fairly walkable as the temps are nice and there are some restaurants not too far away. We walked; however, we saw some vans and other private cars like taxis you could take if you can't walk it. This is an amazing place to stay, so much so that we extended our stay on the very first day we arrived here. Please give this place a try for an amazing experience...
Read moreThe TOKI was nothing short of impressive. We stayed for 1 night and although the weather was uncooperative, our experience at Kawaguchiko was elevated significantly from our stay here. The shuttle runs every ~20min from the hotel to the bus station and can take up to 7 passengers at a time.
They can store luggage ahead of check-in time and deliver it to your reservation hotel if you inform them. The free bath salt bar made for a fun personalized experience and also had free juice and free popcorn at reception. The welcome kits were very well received by our group and we thoroughly enjoyed the thoughtfulness of the package.
The staff at our check in (Oct 10, 6-8pm) was very flexible, respectful, and helpful. The service was amazing and polite. We were unaware of the 6pm cut off time for the shuttle, but the staff were accommodating and were able to pick us up at a delayed time from Kawaguchiko station for check in.
The amenities provided were very well thought out and of high quality. The attention to detail from the staff, to the set up of the home, to the extras provided was impressive and much...
Read moreStayed here for 3 days 2 nights. The villas were within 5-10 minutes of drive from kawaguchiko station.
We were warmly welcomed at the reception before driving up to the villa to unload our luggages.
The space within was very neat and clean. Plenty of amenities, especially for families. The kitchen came fully equipped with complimentary drinks and alcohol.
The 2nd level has a living area which was big and spacious, perfect for young children to play. The best part would be the unobstructed views of Fuji from the 2nd floor and the roof.
The bedding and pillows are very comfortable, and while they don’t have baby cots, they have bed guards for rent. There are also humidifiers/ purifiers on every level so the air is fresh (which already is from the outside!) and the room not drying.
We were also able to rent some baby items such as bed guards and diaper bins. Sadly the baby chair was not available during our stay.
As this is new, all the furniture and items are still in v new and good condition, and the place is very well maintained. All in all, will...
