Just like the reviewer before me, i literally just ate there and I have to instantly give a review because of how good it was.
Food: I had 1.5 cutlet (2360 yen) because I was a little hungry but boy i regretted it. I should've gotten 2 cutlets. The seasoning/fat they used for the cutlet is AMAZINGLY GOOD. They had 3 types of sauces but after trying the sauces, I still prefer plain cutlet itself. Don't get me wrong, the sauces were ALSO good (tangy sauces + fatty and salty cutlet is a perfect mix). Another important thing is the texture. The cutlet was tender, so you don't need to worry about eating rubber! Don't think i need to elaborate further on food, 4.9 stars with 2k+ reviews tells you more than enough.
Service wise, staff were friendly, polite, smiley, prompt, etc etc (all the good adjectives). 👍🏼
Atmosphere/location: it is a short walk away from the main station and thus it will be inconvenient for people who are elderly/mobility assistance. But just go, trust the reviews, you won't regret it! Interior is cozy and exterior is clean. Anyone can tell there's a high standard just from the physical looks itself.
Others: I didn't need to queue as it was about past the typical lunch peak, abt 1400hrs. The good thing is this place doesn't have the pause between lunch and dinner, so odd timing groups can make use of it. If there's a long queue, you could check out the cafe/stores nearby as well. Smth small but I like to point out is, tax is alr incl in the menu price, no pesky added X% to bump up the price. Something about this makes me like any business that has this practice.
To summarise: FOOD GOOD, PRICE GOOD, GO SUPPORT THEM. Also, 4.9stars with 2000+ ppl that reviewed this place, speaks volume!
Thank you for reading I'm waiting for my check-in time.
Edit: Came for round two, 2.5 cutlets for dinner is so sinfully satisfying 😋 (not the same day...

Guests can cook their beef to their liking on personal stone grills, enhancing the meal's interactive aspect. The restaurant is praised for its friendly and attentive staff, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Many patrons consider it a must-visit when in the area, often highlighting the exceptional quality of the beef and the overall dining experience.
In contrast, Gyukatsu Motomura, with multiple locations in Tokyo, is renowned for its gyukatsu—deep-fried beef cutlets. The beef is served rare, allowing diners to finish cooking it on personal grills at their tables. The restaurant is known for its cozy ambiance and friendly staff. However, due to its popularity, especially among tourists, wait times can be long during peak hours.
While both establishments offer high-quality beef cutlets, some diners find Koshuya's offerings superior, citing the quality of the beef and the personalized cooking experience. Additionally, Koshuya's location near Mount Fuji provides a unique dining atmosphere. However, Gyukatsu Motomura's multiple locations in Tokyo make it more accessible for those in the city.
Ultimately, the preference between the two may come down to personal taste and convenience. Both restaurants provide memorable dining experiences with their unique takes on...
Read moreWe happened to stumble upon this restaurant on our way back from the Oishi Park walking back to Kawaguchicko Station. They are newly opened (just opened last week), but the place was full when we stopped by around 7pm. The wait wasn’t too long to get seated and the wait staff could understand basic English (plus the menu has English) so if you’re not Japanese you should do fine here.
The decor is modern and clean and quite spacious and well decorated with a slightly upscale look.
The food itself was excellent. They literally offer only one thing - beef cutlet and the only choice you have is how much you want. I ordered the 1.5 piece which I thought was a decent amount. I probably could have finished 2 on my own to be honest.
For a beef based dish, their prices are actually very reasonable. 2160 yen for a set meal and 1.5 piece cutlet is a great deal. I felt it provided a better value than the tempura place I had gone to the night before.
The staff are very friendly and hospitable. If I were here longer I probably would have come one more time. If you’re in Kawaguchicko and don’t mind going a bit out of the way of the main strip area I would highly suggest checking Koushuya Beef Cutlet out. The beef is melt in your...
