The staff were all really nice and fun to talk to. They can speak English so feel free to call in to make reservations!

The massage was great and I went twice, once for 50mins and then again for 2 hours. It’s definitely worth spending more time here. Tried the detox full body oil massage, the full body push massage and the scalp massage. The massages, while definitely effective and corrective were not too painful and their movements targetted even the smaller muscles in my back. It’s a great place for both first timers who fear massages and for seasoned customers who want good results. Was a really good experience that lifted my spirits and got rid of some of the stress and trauma thats been stuck in my body/muscles.

The ambience of Sleeping Forest is well complimented by decorative greens, tapestries and calming sounds and scents. A train passes by Mount Fuji from the view in their balcony so I’d recommend taking a short quiet break there when you’re done if it’s not too crowded. There are also toy owls to find around the place (12 in total when I was there) and they’re really cute! On a side note, I really liked how they listed the business as women-owned and LGBTQ+ friendly, made it a more welcoming and attractive place when I was choosing a massage spot. Thank you for the good time! 🙇🏻‍♀️ I hope to come back again...

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a head and leg massage at 眠りの森 (Sleeping Forest), and let me tell you, it was next-level relaxation. The masseuse was incredibly skilled, and before I knew it, I had drifted off into a peaceful slumber. I woke up feeling refreshed and totally blissed out.

Now, the rooms themselves might not be huge, but the ambience more than makes up for it. The curtains separating the spaces give a sense of privacy without feeling cramped, and the soft lighting and calming music create a truly serene atmosphere.

And of course, what really sets 眠りの森 apart is the extra touches they provide. At the end of the session, they offer a wonderful tea that you can sip while taking in the stunning view of Mt. Fuji. It's a lovely way to unwind and extend that feeling of calm even after the massage is over.

I also have to give a shoutout to their propolis spray. I brought a can home with me, and it has been a lifesaver in the dry climate of my country. It's a great addition to any nighttime routine, and it really has made a difference in my skin.

Overall, I highly recommend 眠りの森 (Sleeping Forest) for anyone looking for a truly rejuvenating experience. Between the skilled masseuses, the relaxing ambience, and the thoughtful extras, it's a fantastic spot to unwind...

The full body push massage was hands down the best massage I have ever received. I have chronic pain and have had many massages for it but none were like this. Hidayama (not sure if I’m spelling this correctly, sorry) was truly incredible!!! She knew exactly where my sore spots were and how to relieve tension from them. Her massage felt so amazing the entire time. I felt 5 years younger by the end of my session. If I live in the area, I would definitely get massages from her all the time. I also got a head massage that was very relaxing for my eyes and headache, and a foot massage that helped recharge me from all the walking. The service was super friendly, attentive, and thoughtful! I loved the greens adorning the reception area and the cute little owls, as well as the relaxing soundscape music. Thank you for accommodating the two of us on short notice for both nights! I will have to return to Kawaguchiko for another massage from you!

It is possible to book an appointment via WhatsApp, and they accept a wide range of payment methods including credit cards...

Comfortable massages. Different from the traditional chinese massages I'm used to, as these massages were much more gentle but very effective in helping me loosen up. I tried the 50-minute shiatsu course and the 120-minute head and body oil detox massage courses. My job has to do with staring into computer screens a lot and my eyes are usually very tired as a result. The head massage helped me relieve that well. The body oil detox was also comfortable and relaxing. All in all, I do recommend Sleeping Forest, and I would recommend their longer courses especially. Some notes: - Shiatsu massage allows wearing of clothing for those who prefer it. - Shiatsu, foot, body oil and face massages require specific masseuses to be available, so do call in for reservations for those types. Thanks Sleeping Forest!
