Mount Fuji Panorama Glamping — Local services in Fujikawaguchiko

We booked the topmost suite with the private bathroom, BBQ grill, and panoramic tent. The view of Mt. Fuji is stunning when the skies are clear, the elevation overlooks the entire residential area. Check in and check out were very easily done through a tablet onsite, and you receive prompt instructions on how to enter the suite within a few days of your reservation. The hosts provide utensils, dishware, cooking oil, and tongs; they very kindly walked me through how to use the grill system through a translation app. Watahan Super Center is a 15 minute walk/5 minute drive, you can get fresh ingredients for a delicious meal each night. The location is centrally located to sightseeing areas. Be advised that the top suite is next to the community BBQ premises for the other accommodations, so you may hear other guest activity until curfew (8pm). The only negative I will note is that the beds were not very comfortable, but we are glamping so it is to be expected to...

Plenty of parking when we went; it seemed fairly spacious for parking when we arrived during first week of July-just in time for the trails on Fuji-San to open. Only about 3 other buildings seemed to be occupied (during the weekend) when we visited, but the panorama dome seems to be a very popular booking.

It was so booked that we had to reserve one of the other buildings for a night, and then book the dome during the weekday. The lady who seems to run the whole place was so kind and helpful during checkin, I believe she also takes care of cleaning the facilities.

The view of Fuji-San was a bit difficult when we arrived due to the typhoon weather, but when the weather was clear-wow, what a sight.

We made a reservation thru booking.com and grilling area was advertised as free. After we made the reservation the property sent message and said we have to pay extra ¥1000 + $27 for cleaning and grill area and didn’t provide any info for how to access to the campers. We left early in the morning and right before we reached to the property (after 4 hours drive) they sent another message and said our reservation was cancelled! We called the phone number nobody answered, reported it to booking.com and they couldn’t reach to the property owner too. After 2 hours booking.com said they will cancel the reservation and send our money back since they can’t reach to the owner. We ended up looking for a hotel on weekend!! Never seen something like that and definetely not recommend...
