This is a great place to hang out, for foreign residents and locals alike. There are always interesting and unique events happening here. The staff are very friendly and helpful, but English is not their strong point, so you may need some help communicating. I rented a room for my own event here as well. It was a reasonable price and not too...

鹿児島市内の記念建造物として有名なのは、照国神社内の三公像、歴史資料館黎明館、鹿児島城御楼門の再建がそれぞれ明治50.100.150年記念行事として建造されました。それぞれに市民や観光客の人気にインパクトを与える施設となっています。これらと一線を画すのが国際交流センター事業ではないでしょうか。この施設は稲盛和夫氏の個人の寄付により開設されました。会議室等と宿泊施設からなるこの施設は国際交流を増進するための施設です。事業の予算規模には大差はありません。何よりもこれらの事業の性質の違いは、前者が内向き、懐古趣味であるのに対して後者は外向き、未来志向であるという事でしょう。言わば車の両輪のように内と外、過去と未来のを象徴する事業として鹿児島を盛り上げているかのようです。 あたかも鹿児島の英雄としてお馴染みの大久保利通と西郷隆盛の対比にも...
