I cannot recommend this place enough! I am a foreigner, who speaks English and a little Japanese. This was the first time I got my hair cut in Japan so needless to say, I was super nervous. I booked a hair cut and hydrating treatment on hot pepper and I asked Naoji-San (my stylist) for just a trim. He could tell I was nervous, so he reassured me and even told me each step he was doing beforehand! Naoji-San is very nice and funny too (he even gave me some recommendations for restaurants and places to visit)!

The shampoo and TOKIO treatment was first. It was very nice and exactly what you would expect. It was all done at the hair washing station, no complicated machinery. He did put a towel on my face (it did not cover my nose and mouth), which I greatly appreciated as someone with social anxiety😅

It’s helpful to have a translator on hand because it is a Japanese salon (obviously), but Naoji-San can speak English a little.

Be specific with what you ask for when getting your hair cut. A picture is best. I just asked for a trim and Naoji-San cut off an inch or two off the bottom, no layers. He also dried and curled my hair to perfection! I literally haven’t stopped touching my hair it’s so soft and silky. 13/10...

I am a tourist with zero Japanese. Found this salon by chance as I was staying in the area. I was frustrated with my hair because it is dry and tangled, even though I had a hair treatment done just last month in my home country. Had low expectations when I went to the salon. I was given different pricing of hair treatment services. Went for a mid range one. The whole process was about 30mins. Sequence: Hair washing at the wash station with different products, Blow dry, Flat iron to introduce heat and to straighten hair.

The hydration effect lasted even after 5 washes. Because of that, I have fewer hair dropped when showering!

Had a male hairstylist attended to me. Minimum communication as it was just hair...
