Wanting to have my nails done during our Japan trip, I obsessively googled various nail salon options and was super excited when I finally stumbled across Honami in Kyoto. I loved how versatile her style was, further backed by her glowing reviews and ability to converse in English.

I immediately reached out via Instagram and Honami was quick to respond, confirming her availability. The booking and prepayment process was straightforward, and her salon was easy to access.

The appointment itself was fab - she was fun and laid back to chat with, while showing attention to detail and making sure I was happy with the design throughout the process.

Needless to say, I absolutely LOVE my nails and would highly recommend anyone looking for a nailist in Kyoto to book her! 😍 You won't regret it.

Defs a major highlight of the holiday so far, and I would 10000% go to Honami again in...

I would rate this manicure 10+ stars if I could! Honami gave me the most amazing manicure - her attention to detail is unmatched and nail knowledge and skills are unlike any other nail tech I’ve ever gotten my nails done from (and I get my nails done consistently every 2-3 weeks). Also - I bet these nails will last me way longer than my typical manicure because of the care and detail that went into it.

I also want to call out how Honami had great english and our conversation was so enjoyable throughout the manicure. I truly feel like I made a friend while she was doing my nails!

If you’re in the area I can’t recommend getting your nails done by Honami enough!!!

P.S. Honami’s salon space was so cute!!! It’s in a building and you can walk right in and go up to her shop - not to be confused with a street...

I am 100% serious when I say this is the best manicure I've ever had. Honami is so wonderful! I needed to book a quick appointment to fix my nails for the rest of the trip and I am not very experienced with the nail world. I've attempted gel a few times, acrylics once, and dip powder once and none of it felt quite right. Honami made me feel so welcome and we had a great conversation the whole time I was there, it was like speaking to an old friend! I love the color we went with and she was very helpful in choosing the shape and length I wanted. I wish I lived here so I could see her more often, I would get my nails done regularly if it was by Honami! Next time I am in Japan she is at the top of my list to see for a great...
