This shop stole our money. Avoid this place. My wife bought jeans. They were not very cheap compared to other second hand shops and markets, but good enough value. My wife paid by debit card, soon before the shop was closing. They told her the card was cancelled, showed her a message but it was in Japanese, they didn’t give her time to translate with an app and asked for a cash payment. The staff were rude and she felt rushed so paid by cash. After, she checked her account and saw the money had already left the account. We asked the staff for the cash to be returned, showing them the statement that the payment had been made. All they did was show the receipt, and said, you paid by cash, not card. We went back and forth for around thirty minutes, with the same conversation. They did not ever show us a receipt saying the card payment was cancelled. The staff were extremely rude and acted like they didn’t care. Maybe it’s a small amount of money for them, but my wife wouldn’t buy the jeans if they were double the price. The staff are either stupid or were playing stupid in order to steal the money. Either way, we paid twice for a pair of second hand jeans. In the end after they kept saying the same thing over and over, without offering proof and without offering a refund of the cash, we had to leave or I would have lost...
Read moreWhilst the clothes here to buy are okay (here and there there will be clothes with unremovable stains etc., but sometimes there’s steals, overall selling your clothes is absolutely NOT worth it. ¥20 yen for a piece of clothing bought for around ¥8.000 is just crazy. Ralph Lauren Polo’s bought for ¥20.000 are worth ¥650? They need to understand that by continuing this business model, they will probably go out of business as soon nobody is willing to give them their products anymore. I took my business elsewhere with the majority of my products. When you sell UNIQLO clothes that were probably 2.500¥ when originally in the store for ¥500 but are only willing to give ¥20 for clothes that were ¥8.000 (which are probably going to be sold for at least ¥1.000) that is just dishonest and should be...

Unfortunately, my experience here was very disappointing. The prices were ridiculously inflated, and when I found a piece labeled at ¥10,000, I was shocked when they charged me ¥50,000 at checkout. The staff’s explanation was that this was the price the seller had set, which felt like an excuse rather than a legitimate reason for such a massive discrepancy.
The staff seemed unbothered, lazy, and quite arrogant when I brought up the issue. It’s clear that they don’t prioritize customer service or transparency. Overall, I was left feeling frustrated and definitely won’t be returning. There are much better places in Kyoto to shop for...
