Arashiyama Station of the Hankyu line may not be the closest stop to Arashiyama, but the short walk to the main attractions is undeniably worth it. As I strolled through the charming rural Japanese neighborhood, I couldn't help but appreciate the quaint surroundings and serene atmosphere. The highlight of the walk was undoubtedly the iconic Togetsukyo Bridge, offering breathtaking views of the tranquil river below. Each step along the way was a delightful journey through the essence of traditional Japan, making Arashiyama Station an integral part of my unforgettable Kyoto experience.

This station might not as crowded as the Randen and Torokko ones but it's pretty. Only Hankyu Line going to Katsura Station (last stop) goes in and out. This station gives warm atmosphere with enchanting lamps along the track. The station master was being so helpful when I asked for directions. Just outside the station, there are two convenience stores, a bicycle rental, a bus stop, and big sightseeing map. Just go straight from the station and you arrive at the famous Togetsukyo Bridge.

Arashiyama Station (嵐山駅 Arashiyama-eki) is a railway station in Kyoto, Japan. It is the terminal station of the Hankyu Arashiyama Line. The station is a short walk from Nakanoshima Park and Togetsukyo Bridge. In spring, sakura trees lining the station light up in an array of white and pink.

The station was opened by Shin-Keihan Railway as the terminus of the branchline on November 9, 1928. It originally had six platforms serving five dead-end tracks, which were later reduced to three platforms...
