Best flower kimono rental service — Local services in Kyoto

This review is for our kimono rental experience 2 weeks ago, which is truly a highlight of our Kyoto trip. Super satisfied with the service provided by the lady boss and kimono sensei! Lady boss helped us with color coordinating for kimono, belt and accessories. She did beautiful hairdo for me and my little daughter too. Kimono sensei dressed us up with attention to details, like how to keep the kimono draping elegantly behind my neck, and she tied the most beautiful bows with the belt 🥰 We received so many compliments wherever we went even though it was a rainy day, especially for my daughter (“Kawaii!!!”)

Please note that somehow the lighting inside the store makes kimono colors look kind of pale, e.g. mine seemed to be a deep shade of maroon when I chose it (I was hoping to get a brighter color), but as soon as I stepped outside, I was pleasantly surprised that it turned out to be a delightful shade of red!

Amazing kimono rental service and very talented photographer! We were here to get a few pictures in kimonos for our Honeymoon. When comparing the price to other kimono rental services, we found this one to be less expensive. We arrived around 9am. The staff there is very friendly and helped us to pick the right kimonos as well as putting the kimonos on. The kimonos themeselves are gorgeous, we were very happy with our choices. Afterwards we made our way to get the photos. The photographer is very kind and talented. He knew some very beautiful picture spots that were not crowded at all and with his commands and amazing photography skills we managed to get a lot of gorgeous pictures! 🌸 Lovely experience at Best Flower Rental Kimono Service! The staff were very kind and helpful

some can speak Chinese and English, which made everything easy to communicate. The service was fast, and there’s even a restroom inside the shop, which is really convenient.

They have many beautiful kimonos to choose from, and the hairstylists did a great job too.

I went to rent my kimono around 5 PM, so I discussed with the staff about returning it a bit late they kindly allowed me to bring it back before 7 PM.

Thank you so much for being so understanding! Most of my photos turned out to be lovely night shots, and I really enjoyed the experience.

It would be even better if there were more kimono designs, a small catalog or styling guide for reference, and maybe slightly lower prices. Overall, it’s a wonderful shop with warm-hearted service.
