This was, hands down, the best meal I've had in Japan. The whole meal was extremely refreshing and filling. The lady is cute and nice, always explains how to eat the dish, so you can enjoy it properly ☺️ We had the Soba with a little bit of tempura and the tempura one. The tempura one came with extra dishes we didn't even know about beforehand (dessert, skewer, shrimp salad). If you're nearby, don't hesitate (note, that only cash is accepted)! Loved it so much ❤️

The place is family run, they have limited English, but they have English menu (I don't speak any Japanese). I would definitely come back again when I'm in Kyoto.

We had lunch here while walking along Philosophers Path. The place is quite cramped (we had backpacks for cameras, jacket, water, etc.), but the Soba and Udon is very good! One of the best noodles I've tried in Kyoto and is reasonably priced. The taste and texture of the tempura is also good. The place is family run, they have limited English, but they have English menu (I don't speak any Japanese). I would definitely come back again when I'm in Kyoto.
