Cute shrine tucked away off of the Philosopher's Path. It's history goes back to the beginning of Kyoto but is one of the lesser known shrines. It's known for it's many statues of animals among the smaller shrines inside. You have to walk around a bit in the far end of the grounds to find them, which makes it a fun adventure. This is also a dog friendly shrine - the priest has a Shiba Inu who sometimes comes out and is friendly.
