A TRULY UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE IN ARASHIYAMA
This antique shop is an absolute hidden gem. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, he made a genuine effort to communicate with us using the translator and took the time to help me find the perfect souvenir for my family. His hospitality and care were deeply touching (and his taste for music was impeccable!)
The pieces in the shop are beautiful, unique, and authentic, showcasing various Japanese techniques and historical periods, all at very fair prices. The owner also kindly explained how each item could be used and how to take proper care of them, which made the experience even more meaningful.

He used translate to chat with us! -the shopkeeper can actually tell you information about the pieces, such as how old they are! I have not seen this in any other antique store. -the shopkeeper offered us free fans because it was a hot day. I already had a hand fan so my friend accepted one and it came in handy. -it is encouraged to touch objects and take photos. -there are a variety of interesting items ranging from vintage to antique. -it is genuinely the only antique store in the area, so I was very happy to find this place -the prices are very reasonable for being in a big city near a tourist point.
Cons: -the shop is small, so does not have as many items to browse as I would have liked. -the prices are still generally a bit higher than they would be in a small town antique store, but given the location that is...

As a big Opel fan I started to talk to the owner about it. It was definitely one of the most memorable moments of my japan trip. Really nice and enthusiastic about his stuff. If like me your going to the monkey park stop at his shop. It will definitely be...
