If you’re near the station, Rickshaw Café is a must-stop! 🚲☕

The location is super convenient, the staff are friendly, and the food and drinks are delightful. Everything is nicely presented and tastes amazing — from savory dishes to sweet treats like matcha ice cream and strawberry matcha. 🍵🍓

The café has a clean, quirky vibe with a calming atmosphere. Coffee lovers, note that the coffee is strong and slightly bitter — if that’s not your style, a milky coffee is perfect.

Tourist-friendly and easy to order even if you don’t speak Japanese, it’s a great pick-me-up spot after exploring places like the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. Staff are welcoming, bathrooms are clean, and the AC is a bonus on hot days.

A mixed experience. We were warmly welcomed by a kind young man, but afterwards the experience went a bit downhill. One of the baristas didn’t seem to be in the mood, and it felt like we were bothering her. We ordered a small matcha latte, which was very good, and a large hot chocolate, which was also very good, but it was filled to the same level or even less than the small. This place has some of the nicest coffee I've had in a while. My husband definitely approved too and he's quite the coffee snob. He also was a fan of the chocolate and raspberry croffle. The hot dog was pretty good for a hot dog. My son liked the chocolate cake and my other son liked the soft serve ice cream. When the second son then knocked his hot cocoa all over himself, the floor and me, the staff were very happy to help clean up and even gave him a new one (this time with a lid 😉).
