Sagano-yu — Restaurant in Kyoto

This place is one of my favorite restaurants we ever visited in Japan. Apart from the absolutely delicious foods we had, I am blown away by the history and architecture.

I love their intention behind preserving this old bathhouse and incorporating it into the design and aesthetic of the restaurant. It is so beautiful and rich. I thoroughly enjoyed walking around the restaurant and basking in all of its glory.

Nice cozy cafe in Arashiyama, a place we enjoyed brunch and coffee. with nice indoor and outdoor seating. The pancakes were absolutely delicious. We tried the chocolate banana pancake and also the seasonal pancake with pumpkin, pumpkin ice-cream and maple syrup - which were both very tasty. The inside of the store used to a public bath which makes it all more interesting. It also has a small shop as well where you can buy different things like tea, soaps, cookies etc. Highly...

The interior design is so gorgeous! We ordered 3 drinks - matcha latte (average, not bad but not impressive), Japanese tea latte (can skip, there's a strong flavor like aniseed loll) and citrus soda (very refreshing, the best among the three).

The matcha pancake is quite nice but after all this is not a dessert place so manage your expectation.

Overall this place is suitable for lunch/kill your afternoon with a drink or twos
