This place is one of my favorite restaurants we ever visited in Japan. Apart from the absolutely delicious foods we had, I am blown away by the history and architecture.
I love their intention behind preserving this old bathhouse and incorporating it into the design and aesthetic of the restaurant. It is so beautiful and rich. I thoroughly enjoyed walking around the restaurant and basking in all of its glory.

Read moreThe interior design is so gorgeous! We ordered 3 drinks - matcha latte (average, not bad but not impressive), Japanese tea latte (can skip, there's a strong flavor like aniseed loll) and citrus soda (very refreshing, the best among the three).
The matcha pancake is quite nice but after all this is not a dessert place so manage your expectation.
Overall this place is suitable for lunch/kill your afternoon with a drink or twos
