I went to Fishing Max in Namba to buy fishing lures for my boyfriend who is a fisherman by trade and hobby in Hawai’i. It was right next to the train station, quite easy to find as it’s on a Main Street.
He loves to collect fishing lures. Thankfully, he requested “slow pitch jig” lures as there are hundreds of high quality options in an organized way.
I received amazing help and service from the owner, he was very kind, friendly and thoughtful. I showed him a photo of what I was looking for, and he showed me where to go. I’m so grateful for his help as I didn’t know what I was doing.
Overall, there’s rows and rows of options of Japanese brands, very clean and well organized. Lots of designs, weights, types and brands to choose from. I even found lures with Hawaiian words (ie. “holo holo”)
The owner thoughtfully wrapped and packed the lures as well! I hope to come back and visit the other locations in Kobe soon with friends and family who are passionate about fishing and love collecting fishing gear :) would love to do another haul.
Greetings and thank you from Honolulu, Hawaii and Los...
Read moreThis is my second time✌🏽 to visit this fishing tackle shop (Fishing Max) since last year Christmas. Today, I had a wonderful experience with the help from the shop manager, Nakazawa san. I bought a long distance casting reel today, and Nakazawa san provided his professional advice to me, and he helped me to adjust the reel. He is super friendly with sincere smile. We shared some fishing experience and knowledge on setting line, hook and bait for catching sea bream (鯛). The other staff are very nice too, and a Chinese lady staff who can speak Japanese, helped us in translation for better communication. I highly recommend this shop to those fishing lovers to visit. I will visit Fishing Max in Namba definitely. If Fishing Max arranged a fishing activity on the sea, for sure, I will attend (please bring me to catch many 伊佐木 & 真鯛). 😆🛥🎣🐟 Wish all the staff the very best and stay...
Read moreI purchased a low cost fishing rod shortly before they closed. It had a protective cover on it so I thought it would be okay to put in my book bag but when I took it out of my book bag the tip of the fish and rod was broken I was so sad and frustrated maybe it was my fault but I also know the low cost fishing rods are very fragile and easy to break.
The store was closed at 9:00 p.m. but I ran back hoping they could help and the employee was very nice enough to open the doors and give me a new rod after I showed in the issue and I had my receipt.
I just want to say thank you so much for that employee because I'm supposed to go fishing with my friend in the early morning and I thought I couldn't.
Thank...
