As a Japanese who was born and raised in Japan, I can vouch for Suzuki sensei’s authenticity and his well respected high qualifications. His deep knowledge spans across Japanese history, tradition, culture, manners etc etc. The tea master explains them in very simple, easy-to-understand terms in English in a very frank manner, even jokingly at times. The class was very flexible and accommodating.

If you want to experience Sado (茶道- the traditional tea ceremony) I recommend learning from the best, like Suzuki san here. I had over an hour tea ceremony experience near Osaka castle with my friend from overseas. I am from Japan but I learned a lot of new information from certified tea master, and by the time we left we felt very relaxed and had a true experience of ‘meditation’ which is historically the purpose for the tea ceremony.
