MOMO THAI Massage — Local services in Osaka

This was such a welcome experience after a few days of travelling and sightseeing. I've never had a real Thai massage but I really liked it. Momo was friendly and spoke somewhat broken English, which helped ease the anxiety of an American traveler walking into a small shop. The massage is at times deep tissue, so you will like it if this is your style. It was about 4000 yen for 60 min, which is very cheap in my opinion for all the physical work they put into Thai massages. You lie on the ground on a comfortable mattress and heated mat. After a week of pounding the pavements of Japan, my feet were in absolute agony. I was hobbling around Shinsekai when I thankfully stumbled upon Momo. I love a Thai massage, particularly because it is always very robust and the lovely lady at Momo did not disappoint! The place was empty so I got an appointment right away for a 60 minute foot massage (5500¥) and it was HEAVEN. In addition to my feet, she also got stuck into my calves (much needed!) and in typical Thai massage style, gave me some great stretches, pops and cracks at the end. 100% saved my feet, my sanity and the rest of my trip....

Welcoming environment the moment you walk in. Had the right amount of pressure applied, not too soft, not too hard, just right! I really enjoyed the thorough stretching session, it was glorious. I never had a massage that involved a body pillow propping me on my side which allowed the massage therapist to work the body from a side point (this was my favorite part). Towards the end of my hour massage, I was extremely relaxed, which I needed after a day of sightseeing and a day of long walks.
