We chose this as one of the activities available in the Osaka Amazing Pass. The Pass only allows us to choose the jazz or the normal one. My advice - always choose the jazz one, because - nice live music (you will find you feet will start tapping as soon as the music start). Also, because it has live music, it is twice as long as the the normal one (40 min vs. 20 min). you are given a tambourine to participate (just follow the beat, you can never go wrong). To participate is a lot better than just to sit and listen to a tour guide. all eyes on the boat as it passes by the dotonbori area and many people will wave at you (or you may initiate it) the musicians are very nice and professional (although I dont speak japanese, I did understand some parts that they are trying to convey).
This is definitely one of the best activities that I did in Osaka. You should...
