As a foreigner visiting Osaka, I sought a massage since I was getting quite sore from all the hiking and walking I’ve done traveling across Asia for 2+ weeks. I get massages quite regularly as I’m quite active and had my fair share of amazing and disappointing ones. This was unfortunately a disappointing one and I would not recommend this spot for those in need of actual sore muscle relief.
A few red flags I noticed: they asked us to pay upfront even though we were receiving the massage an hour later. I had assumed maybe it was a cultural difference, but in hindsight, a majority of my mediocre massages I’ve received have asked for payment in advance to the massage and it makes sense- if they have received payment already, there’s little incentive to provide a useful massage. I am almost certain that my masseuse was lightening on his pressure whenever he thought I’d fallen asleep, as it was late at night when we had gotten the massage. At multiple points, I felt the pressure get lighter and lighter and there were moments where nothing was happening at all. I’d move around occasionally, in which he’d then start massaging me again. pressure level was way too light. It felt like a 10 year old was massaging me. I had to ask the man to increase the pressure 2 times and even then, it felt really minimal, so I gave up asking after the 2nd time.
Again, what’s done is done and I left incredibly frustrated with little to no muscle relief. Prices were affordable but it really didn’t seem worth the price tag still as I’ll probably have to find another place to get a real massage. The pros are that it is open 24 hrs and the facilities seem clean enough. Im writing this review in hopes of allowing other travelers to make a more informed decision than I...
Read moreThis was the worse massage both my missus and I have received ever... I'm sorry... it was extremely bad. She had a lady and I had a man. We walked out saying the same thing "that was the worst massage I have ever received". I can not stress this enough, unless they change do not visit... We walked out with a headache and a sore body because they pushed on all the wrong places extremely hard and massaged softly in all the other places. My guy walked away multiple times for extended periods and ended up finishing at the same time my girlfriend did, I wasn't going to argue because I honestly couldn't wait for it to all be over and done with. I asked multiple times admittedly in English to go harder or softer and to change locations. We both paid for a full body massage including head and feet and I got a thigh rub and very very very light rub on the back of my head.... he pushed his thumb extremely hard on the crown of my head as well as the pressure points in my neck.... I could go on with everything wrong but I'm sure you understand by...
Read moreAVOID THIS PLACE. Scam! Services not as advertised on website. Massage was terrible.
Red Flags: -Other poor reviews -Extra cost if you're a man -Located in busy Dontoburi location, yet there was no signage. -Upon arrival they split us up and sent my partner to a separate business / floor. -Services were not as advertised on their website. Upon arriving we were only given options that were both body & foot massage, not a specific service. Had to pay upfront. -They make you change into a set of their clothes. Unexpected but ok, however the clothes smelt sweaty like they had already been worn by someone and not laundered in between clients. -Room drapes left open during massage so staff can speak to one another and leave room during the service to attend to other things. My masseuse left twice during my service. Awkward to exit the room and see others being massaged cus the drapes were open. -Massage was terrible. No rhythm or method, just random touching (not even on acupressure points).
Worst massage experience ever. I couldn't wait...
