Today, September 30, 24, around 3:00 p.m., our family went to this store to buy shoes. The treatment of the male shop assistant, who was a bit older and fatter and was wearing a mask, was very rude (I didn't expect Japanese people to be this rude). On average, Japanese people are very friendly and have manners.
When my husband was choosing shoes on the 2nd floor, and my teenage was choosing shoes on the 1st floor. I myself was choosing women's shoes on the 1st floor.
The employee, who was a bit older and fatter and was wearing a mask, told my youngest child, who was 6 years old and sitting playing with his cellphone, to stand up and not sit in his chair...wow, so mean ๐ช (yeah, he was bored, waiting for the 3 of us to choose shoes).
I was trying on shoes standing up, and I knew my place, what's wrong with my little child replacing me sitting down????
Then my mother who did not choose, watching her grandson, was told to go out with a wave of his hand and my 6 year old son who was already standing but still playing with his cellphone + my teenage son who was also standing (had finished choosing but his shoes was still at the cashier because he was waiting for us his parents had not finished choosing), the 3 of them were told to wait outside even though it was raining outside, when I went up to the 2nd floor to help my husband choose ๐ก (are you crazy???).
Unfortunately i didn't remember to take a picture of this person.
Heyyy... we bought 3 pairs of shoes and didn't bother you at all because we only took 1 model but you treated us like this???? It really tarnishes the friendliness of the Japanese people. You, the employee wearing a mask whose English is very messy, are very rude. My husband often works with Japanese people because he built an oil factory, even my in-laws have been good friends with Japanese people for decades, but we have never been treated this rudely.
Very shocking and disappointing. management must guide they employees better, because it is not only my family who is disappointed and angry.
Hey masked man, do you want to be treated...

Found what we looking for and was looking for a sales assistant to ask about the shoes size we wanted. No worker was around. After a while a lady came out from the store room. Immediately we ask her for the Adidas size whether the store has stock. There was no greeting and smile from her. Without saying a word she went into the store to took out a pair of shoes. When she came out and saw us browsing at Fila shoes rack, she asked us "Are you going to try" in an impatient tone. After trying, we confirm buying. Then we ask the Fila shoes size whether it is the same as Adidas. She just replied with the same tone "No". Maybe she think we cannot afford or no intention to buy and was just asking for fun and made her work. We bought the 2 pairs of shoes and paid MYR 646.38. (can easily trace who is this lady) When we leave, there was no "arigato gozaimasu". Why bother to work in sales if think customers are giving...

I went on Sunday 13/7/25, an extremely busy summer weekend where the place was overwhelmed completely with tourists. I saw all the floor workers running around tending to many customers and in my observation, being as polite as they can be despite being called left and right and looking exhausted.
I chose two of the shoes I wanted most and asked for my size, it took 5 minutes but the sales lady was literally rushing around and tending to others so I didn't mind. She was nice enough to get me a half size larger in one of the shoes just in case I wanted it bigger, which ended up being the one I went with!
I find that ABC Mart Grand Stage specifically has certain Japan exclusive and unique pieces that other ABC Marts didn't have, even in the one across the street from here (at least in the Women's section).
I ended up buying Japan exclusive unique platform ballerina style Converse shoes here. I never saw them selling...
