Read moreThe Japanese staff upstairs are rude. They told us about tax refund if we present a passport and we didn't have the first time of purchase, so they told us to come back with the passport and request. A day later we came back and they denied the tax refund and told me it's not possible. I then asked for a complete refund and they denied it as it has been more than one day of the purchase. The box is sealed and did not open. We traveled far to Tokyo and when they contacted the manager or boss of the store via phone, said No and to get out of the store. Really ashamed for this situation as we love anime and it's bad for business on their side. I won't recommend to anyone and there are countless anime shops for someone to buy from in Akihabara. Bad service đ = Lose reputation and customers trust.
P.S. The only helpful staff interestingly enough was a white gentleman working in that store. A foreigner that loves the Japanese culture and been in Japan for 10 years. Kudos to him sorry I forgot his name but thank you for trying to assist as best as...
