GR8 — Local services in Tokyo

This is my review of this store legitimately a month since my last visit. I just couldn’t stop thinking about how absolutely creeped out I felt being in there! Our first impression: an employee in layers of clothing proceeds to walk right out of the store military style with his arms swinging alongside his legs. I didn’t know much about this brand, but my friend was interested, so we followed him in. Immediately inside, the employees just stared. As I browsed, I’d notice in the overwhelming amount of mirrors everywhere that one of the employees was shadowing me around. My friends would tell me they were being followed too and were extremely creeped out. Having a good look around me, all of the employees were briskly walking… incredibly fast, not doing anything other than walking… incredibly fast past us! I recently attempted to purchase a t-shirt from GR8’s website, but my experience has been nothing short of frustrating. My order was cancelled three times with the vague explanation that my credit card appeared suspicious. The only reason I can think of is because my credit card is issued in Hong Kong while I am now based in Singapore, having moved here recently. Despite reordering and trying to resolve the issue, each attempt ended in cancellation without any clear resolution or assistance.

Moreover, I have reached out multiple times across various platforms hoping to get some help or at least an explanation, but the company has not responded at all. It's disheartening, especially since they have the product in my size and I really liked it. This lack of communication and poor handling of the situation is unacceptable for any customer. My wife purchased 1 diseal earring from the branch but upon opening the box after leaving Japan there was no earring in it. We chose tax free purchase so the box and packaging bag was not touched during our stay in Japan

The female staff who assisted us did not open the box at the counter to let us check but immediately proceeded with payment so that was a mistake on our part and we should have insisted to check before completing the purchase.

The store said they did a stock check and everything was in count so I paid 9500 yen for their packaging bag and empty red box with no earring. Disapppointing experience in another otherwise fun vacation to Tokyo.
