Gyomu Super Higashi-shinjuku — Local services in Tokyo

Gyomu Super Store, Shinjuku-Yochomachi [業務超市 東新宿店] is a local supermarket store of new rising Gyomu Super Store chain in East Shinjuku. Like other Gyomu Stores, this store offers low price, quantity discount [although it also offers small-pack merchandise in bargain price], but limited selections of the brands. Thus, customers won't find many selections for the same merchandise, such as seaweeds or packaged ready-to-cook curry mix, and such a strategy on brand selection does lower store's inventory level and lower the cost.

Because of its low-price strategy, store always has lots of customers, and some merchandises were sold out and won't be found on shelves until they are restocked.

Many products are from imports, especially from low-labor-cost countries, such as China, Philippine, even the products or merchandises are the Japanese brands.

Although not all Gyomu Super Stores accept credit cards for payments, this store in East Shinjuku [Yochomachi] does accept credit cards...

Inflation fighter! Great value for groceries and for affordable imported food options: things like date syrup or peanut butter or coffee. No fancy brands, and in fact I've seen many brands I don't recognize, but I haven't found any quality issues. This supermarket is ostensibly targeted at bulk purchasers such as small restaurants, but it's a regular choice for weekend shopping for lots and lots of people. I don't buy all my supplies from here but there are some supplies that I don't buy from anywhere else because the value for quality is just not matched by any other supermarket...

The supermarket is not too big and is in a building that is not very visible from the outside of the main road. However, this supermarket sells a lot of products from abroad other than Japan. Unfortunately, very few products are imported from Indonesia. I really have a hard time finding Indonesian products here. it is deeply regretted. The entrance is a bit small and hidden. And maybe people who have never been here wouldn't know there was a supermarket here. They may be missed. However the staff...
