Honestly this was massively disappointingโฆour reservation was for 7:00 and we were on timeโฆpretty empty restaurant at the timeโฆwe got sat immediately and they tied the napkins around our necksโฆ.
And thatโs when everything got weirdโฆ.our chef asks if he can start and throws some garlic on the grillโฆand then walks in the back for 10 mins, when he comes back out he spends some time talking to other staff and then starts serving a new table that just sat down โฆ.we wait and wait and waitโฆ.
I used google translate to ask the staff whatโs going on and what happened to our chefโฆthey just told us to waitโฆ
At 7:40 the chef shows back up and throws some small appetizers on the table which were not goodโฆthe staff seriously spent more time talking to each other than taking care of the customersโฆfelt casually carelessโฆour chef finally started cooking for us at 8โฆ
After a full hour of waiting the dinner was subpar at bestโฆ.definitely would not recommend or ever go back here

I highly recommend this restaurant. The price is not cheap but is well worth it. You will have trouble finding a place with this high quality of beef and seafood outside of Japan. I came here for my friends birthday and we spent a few hours so be prepared to spend most of your evening here.
I had the crab and beef set. They prepare the crab three ways: for hot put, fried in shell, and steamed. The meat had a nice texture to it indicating how fresh it was and also had a hint of sweetness.
The Wagyu beef for the hot pot is really out of this world. It makes me hungry just looking at my pictures again and thinking about this beef. In my opinion Japan has the best beef in the world and I donโt think anywhere else even...

I've visited Seryna Honten in Roppongi as well as their branch near Ginza (or Shinjuku??? I forgot), and the original location remains my favorite. You don't need to try their top-of-the-range Kobe beef, as any beef on the menu is exceptional. Once you reach culinary heaven, itโs hard to differentiate quality!
I ordered mid-range beef and also tried the second most expensive option โ both were outstanding. The price difference made me wonder if perhaps my palate isnโt refined enough, rather than there being any issue with the beef.
