HOUSEKIHIROBA Shibuya Main Store — Local services in Tokyo

I am Swiss so when it comes to watches and service, I know what I am talking about. I would like to share my experience because it is important to give credit where it is due and not always write complaints. I hope this will help other clients.

I have been looking to buy a special edition Audemars Piguet but it is sold out in Switzerland and Europe. When I was in Tokyo for holidays 3 weeks ago, my Japanese friend joked that I could find any Swiss watch in Japan, even the rarest ones. I checked a few watch shops, but the one that impressed me the most was in Shibuya, a very busy area in Tokyo. It is called Housekihiroba. I took the elevator and arrived on a floor where I saw more watches and more choice than any other store I have seen in Switzerland. I saw some clients looking at watches and examining them and the atmosphere was serene. A salesperson came to help me. He was very courteous and listened attentively. After I explained what I was looking for, he called someone on another floor and a few minutes later, I was ushered to a private space and presented 2 trays which had the watch I was so eagerly looking for plus another 20 other models as nice and as rare.

The salesperson took time to explain in details the difference between the various models and I finally chose one which I thought I would never find. I was offered tea and biscuits and was given a very good deal, better than what I would have found in Switzerland or Hong Kong. My daughter was with me and she discovered that this company actually sells precious stones and jewellery. It was a mistake to bring her with me, but what can we do, this is the price to pay for love.

I had a fantastic experience here yesterday. After going to several Rolex Authorized dealers , only to be turned away because they didn’t have any watches to sell, I stumbled across this hidden gem. I only had about an hour to run in and see what they had. My experience couldn’t have been better. They had around 100 different Rolex’s. About half of them were new and half of them were used (they keep their inventory up to date online). The lady who helped me was very attentive and knowledgeable (despite the language barrier). She showed me several different pieces and helped me with the rates (better price if you pay cash) as well as the duty discount. When I made up my mind on a new GMT Master II, she escorted me to a table, where we went through the fitting, warranty information, box presentation, etc. I’ve always heard that the “Rolex experience” at a Rolex Authorized dealership is incredible. I’m not sure how it could top this! When everything was complete, she escorted me to the elevator and bowed the entire time the doors were closing. It was everything I had hoped it would be and then some. If you’re in the market for a Rolex (or any other watch), I HIGHLY recommend this spot. I am several times a year in Japan for business and bought several watches from this store in the past for myself or as a present. Because of my travels I visited Housekihiroba 15+ times in the past. Seeing the bad reviews below surprise me, because I was always treated with the utmost respect, as expected from a Japanese company that sells luxury goods. Even when I did not buy a watch.

Every employee, Japanese or foreign, had a vast knowledge of watches and helped me choose and they also recommended watches that had a lower price-tag than the ones I was asking for. They care for you to get the watch that fits you best, not to make quick profit, which is why I keep coming back.

When I consider spending this much money on a watch, I like to take my time to see all options. I was never rushed nor pressed to make my decision and the staff explained every of my questions in a calm and professional way.

The customers of this shop never struck me as Chinese only, but as a healthy mix between Japanese and foreign customers. I never saw any bad treatment of another customer and the spoken and understood English was always good to excellent. Everyone gets the same top treatment from this...
