I can’t say enough amazing things about Seigo Taniguchi at Men’s Hair Sense. My visit was an absolute joy—from the warm welcome to the flawless results. Seigo is incredibly talented and understood exactly what I want, even when I’m not entirely sure myself.

His attention to detail, creativity, and passion for his craft truly shine during my appointment. My hair has never looked or felt better, and I left the salon feeling confident, refreshed, and genuinely cared for.

What impressed me most was his generosity and commitment to client satisfaction. A few days after my first perm, I decided I wanted a different style. Seigo kindly offered to redo the perm FOR FREE—even when I insisted on paying, he wouldn’t accept it. That level of care is rare and deeply appreciated.

His assistant was also incredibly kind, gentle, and professional—making the whole experience even better.

Japanese people ONLY! Racism?

Booked an appointment through the phone a few days before. Got there and they asked what my ethnicity was. Told them Korean/ Taiwanese.

They asked how did I make a reservation by phone if I’m not Japanese. I said my uncle speaks fluent Japanese and lives in Japan. So he helped make the reservation.

At first I thought it would be a communication problem for us but then. They asked what ethnicity my uncle was even after they spoke to him on the phone and spoke in fluent Japanese.

I said Taiwanese. Then he said non-Japanese people cannot be serviced there.

There was a handful of barbers at the reception just watching our encounter and looking at me, didn’t even try to offer a solution or offer to provide service.

Guess it’s a pretty nationalistic company with a very interesting policy. They should let people know that online instead of wasting peoples time. Or by “pretending” to make the reservation for...

Came to this place looking for a haircut when roaming around Tokyo. I didn’t get the chance to book as it was a last minute decision to get a haircut but, upon stumbling to this place, I was welcomed with great smiles by the staff members who will look after you during the process. You get provided a complimentary hair wash before getting a haircut and a drink.
