My wife and I had shiatsu massages today after roaming Osaka, Kyoto & Tokyo for more than a week. Our feet, legs and bodies are sore & tight. We had 2 massages in Kyoto: thai massage & regular massage. We always wanted to try traditional Japanese Shiatsu massage. We called and they were able to put us in. We chose 90 mins session and glad to have long session as they can slowly work on our tired & sore muscles from heads to toes. Through pressure points around the body, they work through part by part: back, hip, thigh, calf & shin, foot, shoulder, arm, hand, and head. We can feel lightness, blood flowing and muscles relaxing after pressure treatments. Some pressure points are are painful as they work on nods & tight muscles. Deep Inhale & exhale breathing help reduce the pains It’s all worth it as body feels rejuvenated after the season Yatsu san has been mastering massage for 25 years. He speaks English, which is helpful to explain & inform us. Aki san is the masseuse for my wife, she is also very good. The staffs are very pleasant & friendly. So far, this is the best massage we have during our trip. Thank you so much for excellent massage🙏🏽. We will be back We actually came back with our two daughters and they also enjoyed and feel relieved after...
Read moreWith a chronically sore lower back, a massage was something I was long overdue for. As all the walking around in Tokyo was probably only making matters worse, I'm glad I had finally checked out this shiatsu clinic.
As this is a foreigner-friendly business, I felt at ease explaining my main problem areas and where my muscles felt particularly tight. I especially appreciated the therapist's attentiveness to ensuring my comfort throughout the session, checking in regularly to make sure the pressure wasn't too intense. Their professionalism and kindness created a welcoming environment as well that allowed me to better let go of tension and stress. I only wish I had booked a longer session, as I had more trouble areas than I initially realized.
After the session, my body felt reset and rebalanced, ready once again to take on Tokyo. Conveniently located, I'll definitely be back...
Read moreI have been treated by Sakai-sensei for over 22 years. He does very strong shiatsu massage and acupuncture and is licensed by the government so I am able to claim this as medical treatment. His treatments have kept me from experiencing severe back pain as I go every week for a massage. If you book 60 minutes, you are given a set of casual massage clothes to change into. I am a large person and he has never given me trouble about my weight. It is not a fancy aroma therapy type massage establishment, rather it is clinical and professional. I have had massages throughout Southeast Asia and in the US and this is absolutely my favorite massage because I require a strong one. Sakai-sensei did not used to speak English, but recently he has made...
