Review from May 2023. We came here just to try the tsukemen at Tsujita Ramen (つじ田) which I've set my eyes on after watching a YouTube video of the place and they have a few branches in Tokyo. I chose this branch because it is on the way to our next destination. They are known for their tsukemen that comes with a lime and also rich broth for their regular ramen. Their actual specialty is that Black Shichimi spice on their counter which is a condiment for your noodles, please add that for extra flavor!

We ordered the Special Rich Broth Tsukemen and Rich Broth Tsukemen with Pulled Special Char Siu Pork. Both are about the same but the pulled pork tasted more special I feel. Very tasty and if you love pork with rich broth (but not heavy because of the lime), you should give this a try. The noodles are thick and we love the texture.

We were able to get seats right away as we arrived at 11am on a Sunday, just in time when they open. Ordered at the machine in front of the shop, they have English menu too....

I saw a line outside of the shop so decided to try it out. If there's a line, it's gotta be good right?

The shop has a great atmosphere. Chefs working behind the counter, warming up bowls and assembling dishes together. So feels very lively and gets you hyped in anticipation for a delicious bowl of noodles.

I got the Tsukemen. The soup was thick and luxurious, the highlight is that it's a peppery and salty soup. You get a slice of lime with the noodles, which cuts through the soup nicely. The noodles were great as well. They felt light and chewy, very smooth and pleasing to slurp down.

The chashu wasnt pork belly, it was either pork loin or shoulder. Which meant it was quite a lean and tender cut, which I also really enjoyed.

The main chef was shaved completely bald and I think his eyebrows were shaved off too. So I could sense he had some serious fire and spirit toward making...

🌟 Indulged in a heavenly bowl of tsukemen and an ice-cold beer! 🍜🍺 The staff were super efficient and friendly, making the experience even better. 🏆 Personally, I wish the soup was a tad hotter, but that’s just me! 🔥

✨ What I tried: The restaurant’s signature tsukemen with a soft-boiled egg topping 🥚. Crafted with a rich tonkotsu seafood broth and custom-made noodles, it’s a must-try! 😋

💡 How to enjoy it like a pro: This “Tsukemen Etiquette” is what makes Tsujita so special! 1️⃣ First, enjoy it as is—no sudachi or black shichimi. 🌱 2️⃣ After a third, squeeze sudachi on the noodles, mix, and savor the citrusy twist. 🍋 3️⃣ For the next third, sprinkle some black shichimi for a bold flavor kick. 🌶️ 4️⃣ Lastly, ask for the soup wari (soup refill) by lifting your bowl for a warm, comforting finish. 🍲

What’s your go-to tsukemen spot? Let...
