The dining area is small (there are only 12 dining seats), so the eating experience seems a little rushed, as it's super popular and there seems to always be a long line outside.
I got here at 10:10am (20 min before its opening time) on a Saturday and was #4 in line. Definitely get here earlier before they open, maybe 30-45min to ensure your party can be seated immediately. If the first 2-3 parties waiting are parties of 4, then the wait for the other parties who also arrived before opening but just by a little later will have to wait longer.
The food is great though. It's a bit pricier than other kaitenzushi places, but it really is worth it because the quality is great. I typically don't like tuna, but theirs is delicious and so fresh. Their mountainous gunkan are seriously so deletcable too. As an unagi lover, I loved seeing and getting their mountainous unagi gunkan.
It does take some time for new dishes to be put on the conveyor belt, but we could always order what we want from their iPads. They kept their conveyor belt maybe 80% for the most part. The chefs are so friendly and can speak a little bit of English (just a word here or there).
Really glad I got to try this place and definitely would recommend if you don't mind waiting and the somewhat cramped...
Read moreThis sushi restaurant is highly rated on google and recommended by lots of travel websites. We arrived on a weekend at 12noon and there were approximately 20 people lining up. ALL were tourists! Not even 1 local Japanese! Usually there are Japanese if it is a good restaurant. This made me hesitated but we stayed because we wanted some sushi. After 45min we got our seats.
Majority on the menu is tuna. So if you are not a big fan of tuna, you still have other options but not a lot. I was happy that they had monkfish liver gunkan which is my favourite, while it didn’t have much taste at all. Portion of certain gunkan was huge as you saw in the pictures, unfortunately they didn’t have the umami and sweetness that fresh fish was supposed to have. The seaweed of gunkan was soggy too.
The best parts were, food was IG-able and service was quick. We finished within 30min, walking out with disappointment honestly. There are other good sushi restaurants that doesn’t cost much waiting time. Now I understand why there were no...
Read moreFood 10/10 The sushi was delicious. With a fair variety of different types of fish.
Service 10/10 After a short wait, we were seated and the staff was polite, quick, and observant of when one of the customers wanted to place a specific order or needed something. The Sushi chefs were also very quick to produce the orders and were very nice.
Atmosphere 9/10 We came during peak lunch time so it was fairly busy and we felt like we had to rush to eat our food so the next customer could come in and eat. The restaurant was pretty tiny, only seating about approximately 30 people. No real complaints about the restaurant itself, it just felt a bit rushed, whereas I like to sit and...
