As a tourist from Malaysia, visiting the Ameyoko Taito Arcade Store was an unforgettable experience! One of the highlights of my trip was meeting a kind Japanese uncle who lent me his Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 6RR+ card. I was initially bored playing in guest mode, but thanks to his generosity, we ended up playing several rounds together.
What makes this arcade so special is that Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 6RR+ is only available in Japan, and I haven’t been able to find it anywhere else. On top of that, the arcade offers a wide variety of games, including claw machines, gambling arcade games, and shooting games. The players here are also very friendly—if you’re a tourist and need help, like borrowing game data, don’t hesitate to ask. They are kind and happy to help!
Another great feature is that one round costs only 100 yen, making it affordable to enjoy multiple games without breaking the bank.
If you’re staying around Asakusa, it’s easy to visit Ameyoko. Just take a train and enjoy walking around the area, as there are plenty of nice places to explore nearby. While the arcade can get a little hot, it’s still comfortable enough to enjoy the amazing atmosphere and fun games.
If you’re a fan of arcades, especially racing games like WMMT, this place is absolutely worth visiting. I highly recommend it to anyone...

Yet, I saw a young-aged female staff who is with glasses and curly ponytail put the doll to the edge of the claw machine for a Japanese lady who is next to me upon a few times requests. The lady got the doll within 5 times. However, I asked the same female staff for putting the doll for “facilitating”, but she just moved the doll a little bit closer. She did not put the doll to the edge as she had done to the Japanese lady. I don’t think putting the doll to the edge of the machine is a must but what I saw is a...
Read more1 maimai cabinet (100¥/play) 0 cardmaker machines cabinet was in very poor condition, where the whole right side is blacked out and unusable. Buttons were very loud, and the screen was not very responsive, easily one of the worst cabinets i have experienced in japan/intl version. However, there were fans and seats provided for players and a quiet and secluded place to play in. Overall, i would still recommend skipping this arcade if you solely want to...
