My wife and I booked the eleven day cruise from The Golden Triangle to Vientiane. This was our seventh ship, and the experience was exemplary. The ship was absolutely beautiful, all teak and mahogany wood. Dress code was very casual with bare feet on board. The on board meals were great, accompanied by lively conversations. There were thirteen passengers and sixteen crew members, so there was certainly no lack of outstanding service. Everyone spoke excellent English. Our cruise director Thomas was excellent to say the least as well as the ship’s director Mr. Air. We made many stops along the way in Laos in order to visit Wats (temples) and various local villages. The local village inhabitants seemed a bit wary of us, like we were invaders from Mars, but friendly and all smiles none the less. In one of the villages, the children all came out to greet us. They were happy to give me ‘high fives’. They all congregated in their school room and sang a couple of songs for us. Their enthusiasm was very contagious indeed. We had a lot of rain for the first few days, and one of the villages we visited required quite a hike through mud that was so sticky that it sucked the soles right off my Nikies. Cruising along the Mekong was fabulous! The quiet and placid scenery was stunning. Unspoiled jungle covering the continuous stream of mountains was alone worth the trip. This cruise was well worth the price of admission and I highly recommend it. My thanks to Gary and Mr. Onh in the office for helping me...
Read moreBeautiful place. Its a shame to see all the plastic floating in the river after being dumped out of the boats. Lovely people but they need to be educated on the damage their rubbish is doing. They are killing our planet. Just to update.. the owner has asked me to remove my review because I may have been mistaken in what I saw. What a horrible person living in denial. The rubbish being dumped from every boat cant be mistaken for anything else. I loved Laos but hated meeting all the river boat...

The Cruise travels at slow pace which gives enough time to enjoy the views on the way. Watching sunset at the end of the day was very relaxing. We visited in the month of January, the sky was very clear which...
