They won't answer my question (simple one about whether they are cash only) even when showing google translated Laotian. Read moreI went to this place 3 times in the 4 days I was in Luang Prabang. Don't expect table service, and you may have to wait a while for food (or to be served). However, it's worth the wait. If you try the fried noodles you'll get to try an original recipe by the lady who cooks there (this contains flat, crispy rice noodles and is kind of a mix of Rad Na and Phad see ew). The lady told me that the restaurant has been there for 20 years and she'd like to be able to charge more but she doesn't want to price out the local people. 2 dishes and a large beer cost me 93,000 kip....

All the dishes were delicious (Khao soy, stuffed omelet, fried rice, fried glass noodle, morning glory) and had wok hay flavor. We came several times.
The service was the best we had in town as well, we could even have a nice little chat with the chef after a long tiring day.
Come early in the evening, before 7 pm, or you risk not having all the dishes available. It is normal considering that all the ingredients are fresh from the same day.
