We stayed in room 13 on the top, inside building, the room very clean, with safe, hairdryer, soap and hair wash. Rooms are comfortable, and quite and the bed was prefect. We loved that is had a the ceiling fan and air conditioning. The wifi is not great but that is a first world problem, there was no TV but you don’t need it get out and see Luang Prabang. The Staff were very helpful and have a good level of English, but try to learn some Lao or a Thai as they really appreciate you trying. The breakfast is included and you choose from the menu. We did have the usual western breakfast the first two mornings, but I can highly recommend the local Khao soy (as pictured) it was delicious, however if you cannot do spicy then maybe avoid. The Monk ally giving ceremony walks straight past the hotel so you don’t have to go far. This villa is in a great locations out of the noisey part of town but one a 5-10 minute walk to night market, 30 second walk to Mekong river.

We have just returned from staying at Lotus Villa for 4 nights. The hotel is in an excellent position, minutes on foot from the Mekong and good restaurants. It is very pretty and kept spotlessly clean with a beautiful garden where you have breakfast and can sit in the shade in the heat of the day. We had a ground floor room overlooking the garden with a table and chairs outside on our terrace where we had breakfast, with a good choice available. I particularly liked their home-made hot hibiscus tea. The room had a large and very comfortable bed and maid service came twice a day. The room had good lighting and high quality toiletries. It was so quiet at night. The staff are friendly and helpful and keen to practice their English and smile when we try to speak Laotian. We liked the hotel so much that we are going back in December.

Ci siamo davvero sentiti a casa.

This is a little gem 💎 of a hotel. We spent a week here & felt we couldn't have made a better choice of a place to stay in Luang Prabang. You are just a few paces from the Mekong and very near all the major sites here in the historic quarter. If you have a street side room, you can step out your door at daybreak to watch as every morning the monks walk past for the Alms giving. The management & staff here are so friendly & helpful. The rooms have everything you could need with a private balcony at one side (although a fan would be a good addition for the balconies as there is not a lot of moving air on a hot day as its enclosed by the courtyard). The bathrooms are clean & great as well. We didn't find the streetside rooms noisy at all - Luang Prabang is a fairly quiet little place. The breakfasts are perfect in the idyllic garden/courtyard in middle of the hotel. They set you up nicely in the morning with an omelette, french toast or khao soi & a plate of fresh fruit. Do not miss their now famous baguette toast with the tamarind coconut jam enjoyed with their delicious coffee or smoked Lao tea! If you fancy some Western style food in the evenings or even just a few beers, Popolo is serving up some exceptional Italian food & pizzas next door too. Would highly recommend...
