Yesterday evening it was drizzling n I was a bit lazy to cook dinner for my family. So I ordered takeaway food as an alternative. I didn’t want rice nor noodles . Thought of eating popiah instead which is something light n appetizing. I ordered through Grab delivery Bibi’s popiah . I ordered 2 shrimp popiah, 2 signature popiah, 2 vegetarian popiah, one fried tomyam popiah n a pax of glutinous rice n a cold Ipoh white coffee. Altogether the bill comes to RM 71.30. This includes the delivery fees. A bit pricey though. The Grab delivery was quite fast cos all the popiahs were still warm when we open up the boxes to eat it. The packaging was good n hygienic- all sealed neatly . So is the cold drink n there’s no spill. We opened up everything n ate it all up. To me the shrimp popiah is a bit sweetish. The signature popiah is quite ok n crunchy. The fried tomyam popiah tasted rather weird. I don’t like it at all. The vegetarian popiah is quite ok too. The popiahs are all nicely n tightly rolled n also neatly cut up. What I like most is that the popiah is moist as well as warm - just right for eating. This is quite a nice n quick snack . Convenient as well though a bit on the pricey side. Can afford such snacks once in a while to...
Read moreTake away in May 2024 during weekend dinner hour. They have just opened a new kiosk in 1U shopping mall center and are running an opening promotion where you can buy 1 signature popiah and get 1 free. The signature popiah consists of tofu, long beans, carrots, sengkuang, and crunchy stuff. Overall, it was nice, and their popiah skin is very soft, which is different from other popiah sellers. This is a big credit to Bibi Popiah.
As usual, they do not give much sauce with the popiah; you may taste a little spiciness, but for me, it is still acceptable. The lady owner (I guess) highly recommended the sour plum cucumber, which I didn't really like. Overall, the popiah is still decent and delightful. However, the service could be improved to ensure every customer is...
