The Customer Service team is always prompt in responding to any questions or comments. They are also very polite and more than happy to help.

The DVDs are sent out very quickly and are easy to return once they have been received. A handy return envelope is included in each package.

I enjoy using the booking or queue system to order DVDs. The queue tool is very easy to use - I can change the issue order and add or remove DVDs off the list as I please.

The website is incredibly easy to navigate around and use. They even have a handy YouTube video tutorial on the basics of using the website and how their DVD ordering system works. They really do think of everything.

Alice DVDs also have a range of subscriptions to suit different usage levels. All of the plans are excellent value for money.

I was able to find some movies and TV series that I could not find anywhere else - which was an unexpected bonus. There is a monumentally huge range of movies and TV series available to view.

Alice's is a Christchurch Institution. Through the earthquakes, the overall collapse of the wider video rental market and the rise of streaming, Alice's has been a constant, providing a high quality selection of films and television from all genres and time periods, all organised through an exhaustive online database. Their recent development into boutique cinemas has been welcome, especially due to the loss of the Rialto and Metro cinemas post 2011. Of course this had meant compacting the collection into a smaller area, making some of the spaces a little cramped. Thankfully, this is rarely a problem. The experience and quality associated with Alice's does come at a premium, and the costs of renting or watching a film are a little higher than they might be otherwise. However, if you're looking for something at Alice's, it probably isn't easily accessible anywhere, so the premium is generally worth it. All in all, Alice's is an important part of Christchurch's cultural landscape, and is always worth a visit, whether it's just to look at new acquisitions or to find something...

Amazing collection of films. If you're a film buff or just looking for an excuse for a nice night in have a good look through the collection at Alice's, I promise you'll find much more than you intended on.

Love the two small cinemas here. Have seen a couple of films here and the quality of picture and sound is excellent and the seats are comfy. Can't go past a choc top ice cream with peanuts on top. The snack selection is otherwise mostly pretty bougie, so no popcorn machine here, think hot nuts and fancy organic soda.
