I'm happy to report that Peter at this isite center was simply amazing with the depth and breadth of info he shared. I now know, through his words and photographs, the devastation and geographical changes from the February 3, 1931 earthquake. Art Deco in the rebuilding is a lasting legacy. Peter also helped to map out what I think is a full day's itinerary! The isite staff are the best! Thank you!

Well organised with excellent resources for travellers from NZ or International. Maps and tourist information is well labelled according to geographic location. There is a souvenir shop located within as well with a variety of items available, either Napier or NZ specific. Public restroom located next door with a 20c donation as admission (under 5 free.)

Located directly on the beach this visitors center has friendly and helpful staff who can answer questions, provide directions and even help you book a tour last minute. Free maps and advice no matter whether your interest is cycling, wineries or exploring the art deco historic centre. Also free clean toilets right next door.

My self and partner use the showers the lady who was working there come out very slowly had a plate of food in her hand and a mouth full of food her main was rude she didn't want to explain how the place works it seemed she didn't want to the shower was not clean water was ice cold my partner's shower didn't work properly and for what we payed it was a rep off and what is up with the token pay idea so 1980 dump it and let people take a real shower with hot water, give this place a miss needs fixing was a big let...

Stopped at the end of the day to book a wine tour. We booked it for the upcoming Thursday. We were told we'd be picked up no later than 12:30. We called the tour at 12:25 to see if there was a reason we hadn't been picked up as of yet. To make long story short...They had no idea they had to pick us up. Enjoyed Napier immensely. So much to do. Excellent for families especially with skate board park etc,though a tad expensive if you have a few kids. Walked a lot.Visited the Community Grave for Earthquake Victims out of respect, but not placed correctly on I Site map. The monument is in Park Island cemetery, not Western Hills. Thanks to the Parks & Reserve worker who put us right. I think it deserves a mention at Park...
