PAK'nSAVE Napier — Local services in Napier

I love shopping at Napier City PaknSave and have shopped here since they first opened up in 2004 I think. And also like it cause they have shop n go scanners,so you can c how much you spend every week especially if you are on a budget they also have scales to weigh and price your fruit vegetables and bulk food which I like to no how much they all cost. If you want something and they don't have it in stock the staff tell you why like once I was looking for corned beef and asked the lady if they had any and she told me that they didn't get their order and was very polite in how she said it wasn't rude at all. Staff are helpful if you can't reach something off the shelves and you ask them they are so happy to help you as I find it hard to reach the shelves with a sore shoulder or the product may be at the back of the shelves. The staff are friendly and polite even the trolley man with the black hair who works during the week and may be sometimes on the weekends gives you a smile when he sees you. Very bad experience , will never come back again. Just half an hour ago , I went shopping with my friend, I just got a bag of kiwi fruits so I didn't bother to spend extra to get a plastic bag. After I finished the self checkout I was there waiting for my friend . The staff came and asked me very seriously . Did you pay for this ? Yes, I did . Where is the receipt ? I threw it in the bin. You need to go get it . So I had to go to the rubbish bin and get all the receipts out and check which one is mine while the staff standing there. Not even a smile during the whole process . I think she's already thought that I am a thief. Finally I got the receipt and she said , oh , ok ! You need to stick to it . Don't throw it in the bin. Then why is there a rubbish bin for people to throw away the receipts ? ! And there are so many receipts in it ?! Not even a thank you , a please . Decent range of decent produce and grocery items. Unlike most discount supermarkets, the produce and perishables tend to be a lot fresher here. You will be able to find a fair few items to meet your every day needs and at very reasonable prices. Out of all the main supermarket chains, this store has the best deals around Hawke's Bay. Cheese, bread, standard Canned goods and other grocery items are all decent value. You would be hard-pushed to get these items cheaper elsewhere on a standard day. For example, it's not super rare for them to go through excess stock of individual ice creams at 50c a pop. If however, you are in search of something higher end, or uncommon, you will be hard-pushed to find it here.
