Extremely disappointed with vodaphone. I went in to vodaphone in queen street to buy an iPhone. They didn’t have the one I wanted in stock so they checked and New Market had Two. The lady called the new market store in front of me and asked them to put it on hold. Before leaving for New Market, I asked two of the workers at vodaphone queen street if I needed to be a vodaphone customer and they both said no I didn’t. One of the workers even confirmed with the store manager that I i fact could pay up front for the phone and I did not need to sign up for a monthly payment contract. I then went all the way to the New Market store where they proceeded to tell me that no one had put anything on hold for me (red flag 1). Regardless they had the phone in stock so I get ready to pay and I ask one last time if I had to be a vodaphone customer; the guy serving me says that I have to be on a vodaphone plan if I want the phone, his worker next to him tells him that he’s wrong, and that I can have the phone. So then the man I was being served by scoffs and goes into the back to bring out the manager where he says “I can move you over to vodaphone but we can’t give you the phone unless you are with vodaphone” (red flag 2). I tell him the whole reason I was even at the new market store in the first place was because I was reassured that I could in fact buy this phone. The manager basically says he doesn’t know why the other store said what they said but there was nothing they could do.
Really gutted I wasted my time and money going between stores just to be lied to. The manger at New market could have definitely done some thing e.g. call the queen street store and ask why they told me what they did or even offer to launch a complaint.
Too bad there isn’t an option for a zero...
Read moreSarvesh was simply amazing! I went in with my colleague to sort out a problem in a panic. Instead of our numbers being transferred from the company we were with to the new employment, our contract was terminated in error instead of being transferred so we could continue to use said numbers which we had had for over 20 years. So much data, that could have been lost if this error had not been sorted out immeditely. . This meant we had no connection. We had over 20 years of contacts. Which we could have lost completely as our numbers were released and we had no way of getting them back unless out current company corrected the error. Sarvesh was key in all of this, Knew what to do, who we had to contact. Knew How to sort it. Knew how to sort out further errors we encountered once we had our numbers back. This kind of service is exemplary. This guy knew his stuff! And portrayed the kind of service that is so hard to find. Thiank you Sarvesh, you know what service is and you know your stuff! Heartfelt thanks to you, from myself and...
Read moreVery poor customer service. Already visited the store and ordered a phone with a female staff yesterday, she was kind and we got everything done with her with the biometric verification. We were told when the phone ready today, we would be contacted by text message to pay and pickup. However, today we didn’t receive text and came to ask. There’re phones in store, 2 male staff’s service are so disappointing, one tried to force us to buy accessories which we don’t need, the other said they could not sell the phone to us, unless I do the biometric verification and provide my ID. We cannot understand why different staff have different policies. It is not One NZ, they are not like working for one company. The policy has issue and is not consistent. So bad experience. Will not buy the phone and plan from this company. We have...
