AG LEGO Certified Store, Westfield Newmarket — Local services in Waitematā

Be very careful when going to this store. This is a "LEGO certified store" which means they are only licensed as a third party to sell LEGO. Anything you see on the online store, promotions, or collectables cannot be found here. I found this out the hard way when I purchased the UCS Venator, expecting to receive the collectables. However, I was later told they didn't have it because they were only a "franchise licensed store", although I can see on google now that it says they are a licensed store this wasn't made apparent at all that they are not an official LEGO store, I mean all you can see is a store filled with LEGO and the store sign only says "LEGO", not sure where the "LEGO Certified Store" was on their front door. Not to mention for everyday consumers how would one be able to differentiate between a "Certified Store" and an "Official Store" they are practically synonyms. It really should be made clear on both the LEGO website and at the store itself they don't hold any of the promotions or sales...

Specially went in this morning for the launch of the new Star Wars range and was told - sorry the LEGO STORE decided to put the stock out early. So I ended up not getting sets 75283 and 75280.

Very disappointing, LEGO Newmarket did not even have the decency to let us know via email, that they were putting out stock early. I even rang earlier in the week to make sure these sets would be in store with COVID and all and to find out more on opening times on the 1st of August 2020 which was today, and no one mentioned anything about the stock that was already sold out.

I received my RED E 015 ticket for the NES set while waiting outside this morning but Star Wars was sort of taken a back seat and once I was in the shop I could see why.

Like I said very disappointing and feelings of being cheated out of what should have been a pleasant experience for the launch of the new...

Went to the store to buy a UCS ATAT from the store. Was very excited of course because its an amazing piece. Spoke to the Assistant Store Manager who told me that after I buy it, I must leave the store and cannot leave it there for a bit. The box is huge and I wanted to shop a bit more but he told me there was a policy meaning he couldn’t. I have since learnt that that policy is true, but after saying that he started in insult us and be very disrespectful. He said to us that he was sorry but it wasn’t his problem and told us to go put it into our car. Pretty gross behaviour from sales assistant. To make it better, the Assistant Store Manager stood there and watched it happen too instead of intervening and calming the problem.
