Sep 2025 Caught a glimpse of the G.F.J Zenith - Georges Favre-Jacot just before it was tucked away from being displayed ! The dial lead us to hear a story about watch making under the night sky with a prominent star above . Excellent service from Danni and the team !

So stunned by the Zenith 160 year anniversary special pieces on display with such eye catching signature monochromatic Blue of the Maison! Vivid colour palette on the outer with one of the most legendary Chrono movement , El primero ! Ceramic bracelet is opulent and saturated in colour.

Danni left nothing to spare and shared the limited editioned new released Nomos worldtimer. I like Nomos being a fully in-housed brand with Bauhaus design . The height profile is so thin for a worldtimer with the uncluttered dial that is so well executed that I have pocketed this one myself.

The service of the boutique is unrivalled! Thank you Danni !

Feb 2025 This time mesmerized by the beauty and elegance of Cartier , special edition of the Santos with micro rotor , flight included ! Despite looking for a dress watch , still can not bypass any sport watch such as the Zenith diver ! Special thank to Danni for taking me through the history of Cartier

Dec 2024 Christmas vibe in the air as people swarm to the boutique! Pleasure as always as Danni showcased “ Behren “ , Furlan Marri , Zenith !

There is fun in different level of spending as you wish. The engine like angular form of Behren with open dial craftsmanship, vintage “horn shaped “ lugs of the Furlan Marri and the racing sweeping hands of the zenith chronograph all tell stories and imaginations of their own . By the way the gentlemen by the door was very welcoming , a pleasant trip for the festive season !

Further pleasure of mine to visit The Hourglass as I was greeted with hospitable staff and I meant all the staff members. Danni shown me the craftsmanship of the movement of the Rolex 1908 as well as some fun GP watches. There were lot of new stock, a very pleasant experience indeed

Life is like a box of chocolates , only this box is of 007 grade and you won’t be disappointed. Latest visit to view the Rolex novelties 2023 presented in metal case ready for the next mission !

I have again been surprised by the boutique experience with new brands such as Girard Perregaux paving the way among many new brands that I have been told to watch the space for ! Danni has a wealth of knowledge that would fulfill an appetite of watch enthusiasts!

July 2022 Scatola del Tempo is a brand that you would find in a Ferrari, I am excited that it is now available as winder, storage and travel solution for my watches. I also found the new Rolex release exhibition models on display, now the right hand is finally going to get some love from the new GMT !! Great service from SAM ! cheers

A BIG thank you to Haifeng at the Hour Glass Auckland for helping me to get my fiancee her perfect birthday gift. Apology for the long write-up, but I want to share the wonderful shopping experience in its entirety.

My fiancee had her eyes set on the Yacht Master for some time. We dropped into the store a few weeks ago. We weren't expecting much, knowing how difficult it is to get Rolex sports watches these days. So just wanted to see the watch in the flesh and try it on for size.

We were greeted by Haifeng, who was patient and very knowledgeable about watches. Turned out they had the watch on display. Tried it on and my fiancee loved it. Unfortunately the watch was not for sale. Anyway we left our contact details.

A few days later, Haifeng followed up asking for some additional info. We thought it was just part of the standard process of registering our interests. Neither of us would have ever guessed another few days later, Haifeng would call again, this time informing my fiancee he had the watch for her, plus it is in the color she wanted, not the one on display. She was ecstatic. We couldn't believe our luck. It was almost unreal.

I was initially hoping to get the watch in time for our wedding next year. Now it turned out to be this year's birthday gift. LOL. The warranty card even has her birthday on it.
