Very impressed with this hotel in both its location and quality. Firstly, the room was beautifully appointed and impeccably clean. Secondly, the service was excellent with daily housekeeping. I would have no hesitation booking again.||We hired a one-bedroom suite with a kitchen and washing machine and everything worked beautifully. The laundry machines were in good condition and not loud to use. Housekeeping were able to deliver a clothes airing rack for us, which made laundry easy. And because there was daily housekeeping, I didn’t need to launder towels myself. Laundry powder was supplied.||The kitchen had nice quality crockery and the dishwasher was so handy. Dishwasher powder was supplied daily. The toaster and kettle were clean and worked well and the fridge wasn’t overly noisy. There was an ice tray in the freezer but I didn’t get around to using it. Overall, great little kitchen area. I drank the tap water and it was fine too.||The bathroom towels were large and fluffy and the amenities were high-quality Manuka ones. I hope they keep these products as they give a local touch :-) The shower pressure was extremely good! I would’ve liked a room with a bath like I’ve seen in the photos. I thought I might of requested it? But maybe I forgot. Next time!||The beds here are incredibly soft and lovely. Very nice quality. However, they could use a few memory foam pillows in the cupboards so that people who like firm pillows could grab one as the pillows are very soft. Plenty of power points by the bed and the lamp is a charger too! Good cupboard space with plenty of hangers and a cute little set of drawers plus a safe, iron and ironing board. There was a storage cupboard in the lounge so no need to store suitcases in the bedroom.||The daily housekeeping service was fantastic. Everything was cleaned and refreshed. A nice touch as many places don’t offer daily housekeeping for suites.||The pool was lovely and warm. We found it so easy to stay in for ages! Towels are available from the front desk. I didn’t see anywhere to leave them by the pool so I took them up to the room for housekeeping to collect (since they’re the same as the room towels).||We asked for a quiet room and so we had a beautiful view of the city from level 23. It was indeed quiet with no real street noise. The only drawback with the noise from the ceiling vents at night. The split systems are a lovely touch to keep you comfortable but it seems the old air system is still working 24/7. I could hear the wooshing the whole time at night but eventually I got used to it. It wouldn’t stop me staying again but I wish I could have switched it off at night.||One extra comfort that could be added would be the ability to cast to the televisions from your phone. It’s a small thing but being able to cast your my own shows is something I missed! Although there are plenty of TV channels to watch and the local advertisements are amazing - Tina from Turners! ||Apart from that, I was incredibly impressed with the quality and comfort. It’s much better than the high-end suites I book in Sydney. I’m going to try this brand of hotel in Australia now and I would definitely rebook here in a heartbeat when I come back to...

Read moreThis hotel truly should merit five stars; only the elevator issues detracted from our 4 night stay. The hotel is perfectly situated, the rooms are spacious and spotless, and the views from upper floors are wonderful. The pool is a great oasis, restaurants are plentiful and very close, and the housekeeping service is wonderful. Even with all those positives, the one reason that I absolutely loved this place was the staff. To a person, each of the people that we encountered was friendly, professional, and very helpful...especially to us as this was our first ever visit to NZ. A very special shout out goes to Alessa who helped check us in and was always smiling no matter how many times we asked questions of her. Another special mention goes to Eniko who helped us navigate a tricky restaurant reservation issue for a group of 10 of us at the last minute. She (along with help from Ajay), secured our group a table within walking distance with finesse and a calm that belies her age. She deserves a raise! This is a stellar choice to stay in the CBD of Auckland...especially when the elevators are...
