My friend and I stayed at Waynapicchu for 3 nights . It was less than a 10 min cab|| drive from the Cusco airport. The rooms are very very small but they are clean with good water pressure and warm water. They also provide extra blankets since it does get really chilly at night (at least in October). The staff was completely attentive and friendly. My travel partner had an accident while in the city that required her to get a wheelchair. Unfortunately the hotel does not have an elevator but they went out of their way to help my friend make her way upstairs. They have a cafe that is connected to the hotel where they serve breakfast. The Breakfast is continental , not the best but lets be honest continental free breakfast is really nothing to ever look forward to. ||||This is a good location, everything you need is nearby, airport, food and shops. There is an indoor vendor market around the corner where you can get get all your souvenirs . I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a good deal and will be out in the town for the most part since its so small there really isnt much space...
Read moreFirst of all room was booked for 2 people for 2 nights over the Internet by someone who has traveled extensively and knows how to book a room. Upon arrival the hotel staff said the room was booked for 4 people with no negotiations. Also the room prices listed on the wall were approximately 25 USA dollars less that what we were actually paying from Internet booking. The staff once again would not reason or make the situation right. We had just flown in from the USA and had one night to stay and they least had our credit card number from the booking. Simply a Mess. We have Stayed in many hostels and this place was far louder and dirtier. The room smelt like raw sewage especially in the bathroom and the stench was soo strong actually is gag. The shower had lukewarm water and didnot drain. TV played loudly all night in the downstairs open area without local Peruvians laughing and partying. We had to ask them to be quiet which did not help. Just a mess. Bad experience. Overpaid for a dump. Stay in a hostel. It will be nicer and people more helpful for...

Upon arrival the lady in the lobby was telling us we didn’t pay the hotel even though we had the receipt email they sent us and wanted to charge about $700 dollars for the 4 days extra besides what we had paid per room. After an hour of debate back and forth; she found our paid reservation. After all was fixed she was very helpful in where to eat, what not to eat, places to not go around because it was dangerous etc etc
Rooms upon entering looked fine but once the first day lights went off in the middle of us getting ready for tours and that was every single day in the morning. Beds are very hard and uncomfortable if you’re used to sleeping on none so hard bedrooms and you can hear everything that’s going on, on other rooms.
Some employees are very much unhelpful and clueless about everything going on in the hotel.
Also be highly aware you will have to pick up your own luggage on a couple flight of stairs with nobody from the staff to give you a single hand.
Do not recommend;...
