Mercado do Livramento is an absolute gem for food lovers and art enthusiasts alike. This market offers a sensory feast of fresh fish and vegetables that is truly remarkable.

The fresh fish selection here is second to none. The variety and quality are outstanding, making it a seafood lover's paradise. The vibrant colors of the fruits and vegetables on display add to the market's allure.

What adds a unique touch to this market are the big statues that grace the premises. They not only make for great photo opportunities but also lend a touch of artistry to the vibrant market atmosphere.

The market's cleanliness and organization are commendable, creating a pleasant shopping experience. The friendly vendors are always ready to share their knowledge and recommendations.

Whether you're a foodie looking for the freshest ingredients or simply a traveler exploring the local culture, Mercado do Livramento is a must-visit. It's a place where culinary delights and artistic charm come together...

The best fresh fish and vegetables in the all world. There’s all kinds of fish, shellfish and ocean food. You can buy all kinds of fruit and vegetables. Some stands are the producers selling directly from their farms. You can buy bread, cakes and wines, honey and flowers. There’s special cheese places and we can find cakes from all the country. The beautiful wall of tiles in the top end is famous and a great place to take selfies… The restauration of this wall was financed by a British family, and you can see their name in a special commemorative plaque on the wall. And before you go, you can have a ginjinha to keep you worm inside! If you go to Setúbal don’t miss a visit to this market! Still the best...

If you're in Setúbal for a day or a week: do visit the fresh market. In the main entrance you're welcomed by stunning azulejos (blue painted tiles that depict a scene). Then you arrive at the vegetables and cheese area with butchers in their shops at the side of the hall. Plenty of fresh fruit, vegetables, olives, bakery products and more. The second part of the hall is taken by the fish mongers and is especially spectacular due to the many fish at display. From little sardines to huge swordfish, you're going to see them all over here. Afterward you can enjoy a coffee or a glass of Moscatel in the bar at the side of this wonderful market that already exists for more...

A 140 years old lively indoor market offering from seasonal fruits, olives and other locally-grown foodstuffs-vegetables to fish - meat - pretty much anything one can think of. Fresh fish from the fishermen's boats arrive here each day. It's best to get here early morning for the best selection! One can enjoy the liveliest atmosphere as well as Oyester with sparkling wine. The place also exhibits some of the great piece of Azulejos (a panel with over 6000), the Art of Ceramic Tiles of Portugal. It also offers a few restaurants including the vegan one.
