Mercadona — Local services in Benidorm

Reasonable all round supermarket,a lot of people don't realise you have to go down stairs to get to it,the bad side is it has only one lift and an escalater ,has a reasonable amount of products,from food to cleaning products to even a good selection of wine,spirits and beer,it is now on two floors up stairs is stalls with fresh bread,fresh meat,fresh fruit and fresh flowers, It has now been modernized and is on two floors, the main entrance is on the first floor, where all the tills are,the staff have a good idea off pointing to the next spare till is, Not very disabled friendly as the new lift is a lot smaller,getting more expensive,at last some prices starting to...

A nice convenience store although it is generally aimed at native Spanish people I felt welcome and I felt if I needed any help I could speak to the staff. They seem to know quite a lot of English I was surprised. If you are new to travelling abroad then I would suggest you make sure that you don't take your own bags around the supermarket that you lock them up in the lockers provided because the staff don't like you taking your own bags...

Hot and cold food..small seating area to eat at...can get most things if your self catering or live around the area..clean and tidy..most staff speak broken English and other languages..cash or card can be used..over 3 levels..lift as well as stairs..under ground parking need to get ticket out of machinein car park..trolley big or small...not...
