Restaurant Marisqueria Córdoba — Restaurant in Benidorm

I went there on my first day on holiday. I was just passing this place and saw that it was really popular with people so thought I would give it a go. Now, my friends say that Bendorm is quite popular with the British people so I can't quite understand why the staff doesn't speak English? I don't expect them to speak Polish. I had to learn to speak another language in order to communicate and have chosen to learn English so I would expect the staff to make at least a bit of effort to explain what the meals are and why they are coming so late. Now, I would be less critical and more understanding if I have not waited for my food for more than 45 minutes! On top of that, you see a family coming to this place, sitting down in front of you and being served food that you were supposed to get! This happens within 5 minutes of their arrival! VIP booking? The table wasn't reserved but they were treated that way. I am not joking! I got really angry not only because I had to wait for such a long time without an apology. I have spent 36 euros in that place and have been treated in such a way. I have decided that this treatment deserves the score it got. To sum up: waiting time - ridiculous staff's attitude - far from appologetic and respectful price - quite high compared to other restaurants

Note: I hope this place appears on Tripadvisor soon. This is no way to treat foreign tourists that spend their money (hardworking, highly educated individuals) on Spanish food.

On arrival our party of 5 (family birthday meal) were immediatley given a table we asked if they did lasagne for 1 of our party they said yes so we ordered drinks ,we were quickly served our drinks in bottles without glasses being offered though,had to ask for them,we ordered lasagne, a grilled chicken dish,fried chicken dish,steak dish and paella. The 2 chicken dishes came very quickly along with a plate of chips for the one who ordered lasagne as they now said they didn't have it would spaghetti do Instead.We said no to spaghetti it was ok so one of our party had just the plate of average chips you get at any takeaway,after another wait they brought the steak but missing any sauce at this point the 2 chicken dishes were eaten and the plate of chips eventually the sauce came it was so watery and oily not creamy and peppery as expected I couldn't put it on steak,we were still waiting for the paella almost 20 mins after the steak,I waited to eat my steak along with member of our party waiting for paella only to be told it would be another 6-10 minutes later,we said we weren't happy and the staff were not interested just shrugged smirked and no apology. We cancelled the paella left the drinks and the steak and they still insisted we pay £50 for the chicken dishes & steak disgraceful customer service and on our visit the table next to us had many complaints regarding seafood platter and 2 tables left before ordering after witnessing poor service and food avoid this place its an awful...

Credit card users, BEWARE!

Of all the 10+ restaurants I have been to here in Benidorm, this was the first one that couldn't charge you in Euro when paying with credit card.

I asked, I even double asked. The waiter said it was no problem. But then the machine charged me in my home currency.

I hate to waste money like this. 6.3 Euro. Gone.

This restaurant seems popular. Go early, or you will have to wait...

The staff is super busy. Running around most of the time. But, still very friendly. They do forget things tho, like ketchup for the kids, or some side dishes, like the potatoes.

My wife picked some seafood, and she thought that it felt very fresh, and tasted good as well.

My oldest picked the kids lasagna and liked it. Tasty. Youngest picked the chicken fingers. Seemed "ok". He ate it.

So...

I ordered the "supremo" meat. Asked if it was juicy. I double checked. As you can see, the presentation was lacking. And the meat. While grilled "medium", it was still dry...

So yeah. My conclusion is that you don't order meat at this restaurant. Only seafood.

And beware of the credit...
