The place is stunning. It’s very quirky. It’s clearly had a big investment. We reserved online weeks before our trip to Madrid and we were excited. But we made a few mistakes, the reviews said, and the menu showed, that they didn’t have many options for vegetarians, we still went despite my daughter being vegetarian. We asked for quesadillas without meat - just cheese, and they did make it (after going to the kitchen to check) which was very kind, but unfortunately when it came it had meat stuck to the outside so she couldn’t eat it. This is our mistake, we asked for the beef quesadillas without beef and well the kitchen probably isn’t set up for that. That’s not why we gave 2 stars for the food. The food (that we tried) just isn’t good. Every plate tasted the same. The service was nice and friendly but we were offered physical menus and said yes please (we were the first customers), the menus never came, the next time we saw the waiter he was asking what we wanted to eat and to be honest, with no recommendations, no physical menu, as first time visitors we were confused, the waiter seemed a bit irritated, but we understand that. We were given the appetizer without ordering, that we had read about on the reviews so expected to be charged, 2.5 each, not a problem, we would have ordered it anyway, in Spain it’s common for places to put down bread that you haven’t ordered, and later charge for it, if you don’t want it just say no thanks. The cocktail was fine, the glasses are such fun. There was no wine list on the drinks menu but the waiter was knowledgeable, I ordered a dry white wine, he put the glass on the table and then it took ages for the wine, I would I have had another one for sure! We ordered “QUILAQUILES ROJOS - En salsa Monterrey con crema y queso fresco” to share, these arrived with beef on so my daughter couldn’t eat them. I double checked the menu, no mention of beef. We didn’t say anything as at this point to be honest we were ready to leave. My meat tacos came and I hardly touched them, they just seemed the same as the other dishes I had just had, again could be my mistake in ordering similar things. We asked the bill less than one hour after our reservation started, we had chosen Tuesday night for the magician and the dj as advertised on the website but the magician wasn’t there yet and we just didn’t feel like waiting for the dj to start at 21:30, we had planned to stay on drinking more cocktails and wine but just left and went home. We were given free shots in cute glasses - melon tequila. Once again, the place is gorgeous, the drinks are fine, and the staff are lovely, but we wouldn’t return to eat there. We should have perhaps asked again for the physical menu to be able to see all the options and better choose, or asked the waiter for recommendations, menus via QR codes are never easy to navigate and we didn’t want to be on our phones on a mini break from work and on holiday.

We absolutely loved this place! The decor is stunning, transporting you into another world as soon as you walk in. The food was delicious overall, and the highlight of our experience was definitely the live show. Our waitress was incredibly patient and friendly, taking the time to explain each dish we ordered, which really helped us make the best choices. However, we were disappointed with the attitude of the hostess. We had taken the time to make a reservation with a special request, as my boyfriend was planning to propose. Unfortunately, the hostess didn’t even check our reservation details or our special request, which was very important to us. She seated us without making any effort to accommodate our request, which we found unprofessional and lacking in empathy—especially since her role involves making guests feel welcome. Additionally, despite our reservation being from 8:00 PM to 10:15 PM, the hostess came to our table around 9:30 PM (not her usual role) and pressured us to leave, even though we were waiting for the show, which was one of the main reasons we chose this restaurant. She also urged us to quickly order dessert, making us feel rushed. Although we are fluent in Spanish, she addressed us in English, which she spoke poorly, instead of taking a moment to assess our language preference. Apart from the disappointing experience with the hostess, we were very satisfied with our waitress, the meal, and the value for money, as the €90 we spent felt well worth it. We still recommend this restaurant, but it would be a much better experience if the hostess showed more professionalism and courtesy.

First off I’m still getting used to the service here compared to the US. The service was alright, they never checked in one time to see how the food is but I will say they do pre buss the table to prepare for the next dish. The vibe and atmosphere is awesome it looks one of a kind, the decor is really it’s only selling point. I understand if you’re reading this you must have seen 4.5 stars out of 4,000+ reviews but I can assure you as a person from Southern California whose been to Mexico many times and ate A LOT of Mexican food in San Diego, this is low quality with cheap ingredients. The guacamole was as average as I’ve had at a grocery store practically. The flautas were tasty I must say but the cost of them to make had to be cheap. The steak entree was not good, it came out just under medium rare and we were practically unable to bit through it, it was very tough and hard in the middle most rare part. Salsas they give you to start and after I asked for one spicy were very average literally like something you get from the American grocery store or from el pollo loco. We came right when they opened at lunch and service was not very quick, timing between dish was lagging and no one ever comes and asks how you are doing. The dessert to finish was a chocolate muffin so bland and boring, no ice cream or any type of cream to accompany it which would have helped a lot. I will say the Dominican lady at the front was very helpful and nice so thank you to her she helped the experience. Overall come for the vibes and decor if you’d like, but I can’t imagine this is even CLOSE to the best Mexican food here and if you’re from California don’t even bother considering eating here If you’re looking for good Mexican food. I really hope people on the fence about this place see it and know don’t be fooled by the reviews they are...
