The place is beautiful, the coffee is amazing. The service, very poor. It seems that they are fed up with something. Probably the pay is not good. I ordered pan con tomate and jamón in addition to the coffee. The bread was like a bad hamburger bread from the United States. In the United States the bread is horrible compared to Spain where in any lousy cafeteria you get excellent bread. Then comes the olive oil. That is a joke and an insult to the customers. It is impossible to open it. The lady sitting next to me said that it was impossible that I needed to use a fork to punch a whole. She said to do it carefully so it would not spill on me. Well she was wrong, I did it carefully and still spilled it on my shirt. The person responsible to buy the olive oil should be fired. Or explained that the customer is important to the business. Do not insult the customer by giving her/him this poorly designed olive oil. The jamón 2nd quality. At a place like this the ham should be Ibérico de Bellota 100%. Well enough with the food, I think you get it. When you come into the restaurant you don’t know what to do. Very disorganized no signs, no lines, people rushing to the counter to order. It is not about who came in first it is about who rushes faster to the counter. As we say in Puerto Rico “el más cojonudo gana”. Did I mention I had to clean my own table before I sat down to eat? Come on guys/gals, get your thing together and make this a great business not just a good one. A madrileño friend of mine told me this used to be a great business not...
Read moreGot a sample box of pastries to go. I asked if the counter lady spoke English because I wanted to ask what some desserts were, and she scowled "no" and turned around. Rather rude. So I said "cada uno", hoping it meant one of each, but she chose from left to right and left out some cute looking pastries. Was I going to ask her anything after her rudeness? No. There was no price menu anywhere so I accepted my fate of random pastries. They were delicious! But no need to be rude in a sweet shop..? Under €15 euros for...
