This is an artisan chocolate atelier with a glass workshop where you can actually watch the production.

Their chocolates are top quality but the real star for me is the Ecuador 72% chocolate ice cream. They said they bring the cacao seeds from Ecuador, process everything here. The result is a very balanced flavor with a perfect texture.

I had the pleasure of visiting this amazing shop last week. The first thing you notice when entering is the intense fruity cacao smell! The sales lady was extremely knowledgable and passionate about their product and was happy to talk about the manufacturing process of their Bean to Bar chocolate, which takes place in full view behind a glass door in the shop itself. Como venezolano, de la tierra de la mejor DO de la semilla de cacao del mundo: Criollo Chuao me emocioné al ver MAÜA, un lugar muy agradable, con buen diseño, sencillo pero buen gusto. Con una atención y explicación amable muy completa por el Sr. que me atendió ( creo que es uno de sus creadores). Delicadas creaciones y combinaciones con ese sabor que nos da el Theobroma y que lo tienen todos sus pralines (bombones). Muy bien explicado y expuesto al público el proceso. Por mis ancestros naci y crecí en Venezuela, entre plantas de Cacao y mi madre nos enseñó a hacer artesanalmente las bolas de cacao para beber el chocolate familiar.

Esta Chocolateria es un remanso al gusto entre tantos fornos y dulcerias. Un sitio predilecto para darse un buen gusto chocolatero recomendado a todo dar.

Ah..a quienes dicen que el chocolate no es para el verano pues tamaño error porque en el trópico no hay invierno y se produce y consume el mejor cacao del mundo y si les queda duda por algo se llama THEOBROMA CACAO que significa alimento de los Dioses y a los Dioses no lees importa el invierno.
